Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report
Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we compete with other guilds. Here is our battle report for the week.
Overall Guild Rank: Sixth Place
We were in sixth place this time. It was a narrow lead by the fifth and fourth placers. Fifth place only had one more win against us while fourth place only had three more wins. We could have reached fourth place if we had more players in our guild.
Top Brawl Participants and my Rank
I had a good brawl this week. I was in second to fifth place top performer in our guild with seven wins and two losses.
Selected Games
Here I present three of the games that I won.
Game 1
Counterspell and Explosive Weaponry modifiers. I thought it was a good idea to choose the Life element with the additional armor buff. My opponent had fire and a legendary card. It's a strong card and I'm lucky that it's Bloodlust skill didn't get on or else it would have been a loss.

Game 2
Game two was a new modifier Backlash. I chose Water with mostly magic cards to decrease chances of missing attacks. My opponent had Earth with the gladiator card Quora Towershead at first position. It was supported by capable attackers. It was not easy to defeat Quora with its healing skill and my water team had to finish the opponent's New Beluroc Aegis first before they can turn their sights on Quora. Once my team attacked Quora, its healing was not able to keep up with the damage.

Game 3
The next game had Briar Patch modifier. This time I was the one who had Quora Towershead in my team. It also attacks with magic aside from melee and its healing will offset the damage from Thorns. I avoided choosing melee cards because of Thorns damage. Meanwhile, my opponent's team was mostly melee cards. It was not a smart move as the battle modifier punishes melee. I only used one melee that had healing skill and the rest were archers ang magic cards.

Spending the Rewards
I bought two gladiator packs and still no legendary cards. The best card I got was a gold foil Captain Katie. I'm thinking if I burn this to get more merits and hope to get a legendary card. But if I burn it I would only get two thousand merits to buy one pack. I decided to keep the gold card instead.
Conclusion
We earned 3,444 merits and 20 SPS from the brawl. Its a reasonable reward that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
