Two days ago (a bit late, but better late than never), we discovered some exciting news—several Hive #games have been nominated for the prestigious Blockchain Game Awards 2024! This recognition is a testament to the creativity, innovation, and hard work of developers in the Hive Gaming Ecosystem. It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase what Hive is all about, and as a community, we believe in rallying together to provide as much support as possible. Every chance to promote Hive and its amazing projects should be seized enthusiastically.

We knew we had to act fast, and since our giveaways on X (formerly Twitter) have consistently shown excellent engagement and reach, we decided to leverage this approach to promote some of the nominated games. With the generous contribution of 50 HIVE from @cryptoshots.nft, we were able to launch a successful campaign that caught the attention of the community.

The Hive community’s response was nothing short of remarkable. Thanks to your support, our call to vote for Crypto Shots turned into a resounding success. This moment highlighted the power of unity within our ecosystem and demonstrated how much we can achieve when we work together.

But this is just the beginning. The Blockchain Game Awards are a global stage, and continued support from the Hive community can ensure that our games receive the recognition they deserve. Success... but we can do much better!

Yes, the giveaway definitely helped, and we’re grateful for the support we received, but there’s always room for improvement. While the campaign reached many people, it could have been far more effective in bringing in more Hivians. If our post on Hive had been upvoted to the top of the Trending list, I’m confident it would have gained significantly more visibility within the community. With that extra attention, the impact of the campaign could have been much greater. The Trending page is such a vital tool for amplifying messages, and it’s something we need to leverage better in the future.

This situation also highlights a broader issue: the lack of synergy and mutual promotion between the Hive and @Splinterlands communities. Splinterlands is an incredible game, one of the shining stars of the Hive ecosystem. I personally love it—I always support their efforts on X (formerly Twitter), and even my son is an avid player. It’s amazing to see what the Splinterlands team and community have accomplished.

However, the support should go both ways. While Hivians consistently rally behind Splinterlands, it feels like the massive Splinterlands community could be doing more to support other Hive-based games like Crypto Shots. Imagine the #impact if the Splinterlands community united with the broader Hive community to champion games across the entire ecosystem. That level of collaboration could take Hive Gaming to new heights.

What we’re missing is unity. As a decentralized #ecosystem, Hive thrives on community collaboration and mutual support. Yet, there’s still a noticeable gap when it comes to cross-promotion and shared effort. We’re all part of the same ecosystem, and we all want to see Hive succeed. By working together, amplifying each other’s projects, and supporting all the incredible initiatives within Hive, we can achieve so much more than we could on our own.

Unity is strength, and it’s something we should all strive for. Let’s not just be a collection of individual communities—let’s become one cohesive force that supports and uplifts every part of the Hive ecosystem. Together, we can make Hive a shining example of what decentralized #collaboration can achieve.
