Hello there, it's the end of a new week on the Vibes Web3 Music Competition and just like ever, the vibes are as fresh as ever. This week, we see a new theme revolving around the EDM genre of songs. I know many of us love EDMs, but it doesn't seem so for those performing such a genre of music.
It requires a lot of energy and power. A soulful singer would find it difficult navigating through this genre, as it's been labelled as an energetic genre.

Let's dive into the energy aspect:
What do I mean when I say energy? I simply mean the synchronic movement of one's body in tandem with the background beat and vibratic expressions of one's voice in such a way that it captures the listener's soul, transmitting the real essence of the name EDM to we the listeners.
I noticed just how excellent singers struggled to keep up with the theme during their performance. Prolly had a tough time, huh? It's not a type of song where you relax in your comfort zone and just blend into a 90's song. It's not the Celine Dion or Ed Sheeran stereotype, not the regular rhythm an average singer can just hop into.
Well, I know most artists couldn't keep up with the EDM pattern while performing... Probably lost it at some point during the performance, while others were like, "Nah, there's no way I can do this," and just went ahead to sing any song and genre of their choice. But there's no harm in trying—I guess it helps us in many ways.
•Artists tend to be more flexible in their singing pattern and style.
•It brings out the best in artists as they strive to become a different version of themselves, which requires an extra maximum effort for a good performance.
•It also helps artists discover themselves. Yeah, you heard that right. Some artists can sing quite well but haven't realized which genre they're taking up or settling with. Now, delving into different styles might just make one fall in love with a certain genre and boom! Self-discovery happens.
•It's entertaining to us listeners. Sometimes I yearn to see an artist of mine do something different like a rap or something. You know, I think Verbal D is one of the few consistent rappers out there. We don't see a lot of rap entries on the Vibes, and I guess it's high time we incorporate a "Rap" theme in one of the coming weeks. Sounds like a great idea 🤔 @verbal-d — I guess that'd be amazing if done. 🙏
Well, I'm in total support of trying out new things. It keeps everyone on their toes while creating suspense for the audience in anticipation of what's to come.
Have a great day and congratulations to the winners in advance 🥳
