My Personal View on Being Generous

There are many characteristics that we showed in different kinds person or different kinds of people. We always show the brightest side that we had when we were going to them for the first time.

Do we directly knew that the person is generous or selfish when we only saw them? No, we cannot directly tell if that person is generous or selfish by seeing them only once.

We need to know them overtime to justify if that person is selfish or generous but there were some times that we show kindness to anyone who needed in trouble for the people who needs help.

How about myself? Do I know if I am generous or selfish? I think I somewhat generous and a little bit selfish but sometimes, I always give on what I have for the people that I knew because it's better to give than to receive.

Just like now that I am working in this company, when there is a shortage of money for buying food. I always ask if how much to that I can patch up the missing money to buy the food for the snack. Although, it's not always because there's always a budget for it but yeah, only sometimes that I offer help not for myself but for the co-employees that we will eat the snack together.

I also have a tight budget because I have my daughter that always needed for her to buy necessary food for her like milk, snacks, clothes, and stuffs. But that doesn't mean that I will not share with the small amount that I have if there were missing money to buy for food.

It's also different if someone wants to borrow money from me because I will hesitate on borrowing. I will hesitate Maybe because I was traumatize before that someone borrows money from me and up until now, that person didn't even tried to communicate and pay for the money that it borrowed to me.

I think I am selfish into that situation because it involves money but when we talked about food, I could say that I will give because that's different and it's about food that we will eat.

As I am working, I think many might say that I am generous enough to give something that I have like if we were talking about food but not about money.

Anyway, it is good for myself to give something and not expecting in return because we knew that it will give back ten or hundred folds in an unexpected way.
