Choosing Simplicity This Holiday Season

Every Christmas that I celebrated, there will be a celebration because that’s what our family’s tradition to celebrate and not just our family but the people who wants to celebrate their Christmas season and as well as the Filipino people that they will celebrate their Christmas.

Even if it’s a small celebration but a celebration is a celebration even if it’s really small. As for our family, we also celebrate and I experience to celebrate on a budget, too.. Not just once but many times that we celebrate on a budget..

Well, thanks to my brothers and sisters that they also give something for the Christmas and It’s not just me that will provide for the Christmas but also for my siblings that they will give something in the Christmas.

For me, I also think on a budget mode on what food, things, or even gifts should I buy with a budget because it’s not every day that I have money especially on Christmas season because most people will also prepare or buy something for their love ones or to their family.

Depending on the budget that I would put during Christmas, I would make that budget to get more food on the table for the Christmas. Just like last time, I can’t recall the year, that I was on a budget and I think of something food that are cheap but tasty, flavorful, and enjoyable to eat.

So yeah, making sure that it was on a budget.. I bought some ingredients that was very cheap even if the brand is not that I want to buy but the thought that you will make that food for the Christmas and the budget is align, I think the brand doesn’t matter as long as the food is the same taste as the branded kinds of food or items.

While the inflation of our country increases, the items in the market also increases and I the products especially the food items that we are going to prepare were now as much as expensive than before. Imagine before, I can buy and cook a macaroni salad for only 8 dollars but now, with the inflation it is now more than 8 dollar and I think it is now more or less 17 dollars for that macaroni salad alone that you were going to make.

The price were now as much as double as it was before and it’s really alarming because the salary grade in the countryside is also small and I think it really hits hard not on the rich but to the people that are poor.

So yeah, when preparing something on Christmas, I would prefer buying the not-so branded type of food items because they were way more cheaper than the branded type of a product. Although, there were a little slightly off of their taste but being on a budget is way more awesome to see because you can buy more food than buying only one kind of food.
