2024-08-27 - Distriator - Business management module is on production

Updates on Project Distriator

We shipped major changes to Production

• There were several changes which were related Business management on Beta.
• Number of APIs were also on Beta.
• Trusted Busienss Guide's city-country related changes also were on Beta.
• Today, we managed to ship everything on production.
• So far, it was available only on beta web-app only.

Distriator - names

• When we started off this project, we initially called it "Hive Freedom Dollar"
• Later, we changed it to "Distrion"
• And, finally we went ahead with "Distriator"
• We still have the old domain - hive-distrion.app - which redirects to distriator.com

How does it look on mobile device?

• In my opinion, it's far from perfect but we focus on getting the functionality done first
• There are many known issues & improvements on which we'll work on tomorrow.
• Most of them are on front-end.

Supporting eCommerce businesses?

• Yes, we are experimenting around supporting eCommerce businesses
• eCommerce reviews & claims will have longer-claim duration.
• We've also increased 2 hours & no longer keeping 30 mins.

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes

• I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
• Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
• On 2024-08-27, 3Speak published total 250 videos.
• My video encoder nodes encoded 234 videos from 250 videos published.
• It means, my encoder nodes encoded 93.60 % of total videos published on 2024-08-27
