Very interesting. I am not sure I have even heard of a half dime before now. Maybe I have, but I don't really recall. I think the designs were a bit better back then though those state quarters had some keepers.

Nickels only came along after the Civil War and there was less silver to put into coinage, so they made a nickel out of nickel! lol
