Hola querido hiver.
Me parece increíble que hayan pasado más de tres meses desde que visité esta exposición y que todavía no la hubiera traído al blog. Menos mal que los cuentos de hadas nunca pasan de moda y estén a nuestra disposición para recordar lo que nos hacía soñar cuando éramos niños.
La exposición Cuentos de hadas se llevó a cabo a finales del año pasado en el Museo del Origami de Zaragoza. El autor es Federico Scalambra, un italiano aficionado a este particular arte afincado en Bolonia. Puedes conocer más sobre tu recorrido e inspiración en el dossier oficial de la exposición.
En una primera parte se mostraban figuras de criaturas tanto reales como fantásticas, dotadas de volúmenes y en las que se aprecian los pliegues y formas geométricas.
En algunos conjuntos no fui capaz de identificar la procedencia de los personajes, y en otras aunque fueran desconocidos para mí se notaba el origen japonés. Algo natural teniendo en cuenta el país donde se elevó a esta disciplina del origami la categoría de arte.
Eché en falta un hilo conductor o carteles explicativos que no fueran solamente el nombre de los conjuntos y poco más. Sobre todo en esta primera parte, donde casi todas eran figuras individuales agrupadas por temática. No quito mérito a las piezas, por supuesto.
A partir de la primera sala la cosa cambió a mejor. Se presentaban escenarios complejos que te hacían sonreír al reconocerlos y evocar películas y cuentos. Podías jugar a reconocer detalles que pasaban desapercibidos si no te fijabas con atención.
En una vitrina se recopilaban figuras planas que representaban personajes reconocibles. Con un puñado de pliegues nuestra memoria es capaz de saber quiénes son, es la magia del arte y de nuestro cerebro.

En el siguiente conjunto nos planteaban un juego. Había que encontrar los monstruos que estaban escondidos por toda la escena, una tarea nada fácil porque había muchos personajes y las casas tenían rincones que a simple vista te despistaban. Vi una bruja y una momia, ¡tengo las pruebas!
Entre las dos casas de arriba tengo claro cuál elegiría para vivir. Me quedo con los duendes.
Los siguientes tres escenarios me gustaron mucho. Primero encontramos al famoso Don Quijote y su fiel escudero Sancho Panza. Que Cervantes me perdone, pero he sido incapaz de terminar su obra maestra. Tres intentos llevo.
Mi favorito es el cuadro del medio. La sencillez es brutal y sin embargo me evocan sin dudarlo las tres carabelas de Cristóbal Colón.
En cuanto al tren inferior, era una preciosidad y tengo presente todavía mi viaje en uno parecido a ese. Además también era azul.
En la última sala hay una vitrina que más bien es un gran escaparate. Aquí se mostraban varias escenas consecutivas. La primera me recordó las películas de Piratas del Caribe.
Sin dejar el mar, la segunda escena era un bonito faro con unas cuevas excavadas en la roca donde se asentaba.
Y en la última, un zoco árabe nos transportó a los sueños de Las mil y una noches.
Si me tengo que quedar con uno solo de estos personajes o cuentos, elijo la sencillez de El Principito, que además es uno de mis libros favoritos. ¿Y tú?

Hi, dear hiver.
I find it incredible that more than three months have passed since I visited this exhibition and that I still hadn't brought it to the blog. Luckily, fairy tales never go out of style and are at our disposal to remember what made us dream when we were children.
The exhibition Fairy Tales was held at the end of last year at the Origami Museum of Zaragoza. The author is Federico Scalambra, an Italian fan of this particular art based in Bologna. You can learn more about your journey and inspiration in the official exhibition dossier.
In a first part, figures of both real and fantastic creatures were shown, endowed with volumes and in which the folds and geometric shapes can be appreciated.
In some sets I was not able to identify the origin of the characters, and in others, even if they were unknown to me, the Japanese origin was noticeable. Something natural considering the country where the category of art was elevated to this discipline of origami.
I missed a common thread or explanatory posters that were not only the name of the sets and little else. Especially in this first part, where almost all were individual figures grouped by theme. I don't take credit away from the pieces, of course.
From the first room the thing changed for the better. Complex scenarios were presented that made you smile when you recognised them and evoked movies and stories. You could play to recognise details that went unnoticed if you didn't look carefully.
In a showcase, flat figures were collected that represented recognisable characters. With a handful of folds our memory is able to know who they are, it is the magic of art and our brain.

In the following set they proposed a game to us. You had to find the monsters that were hidden throughout the scene, not an easy task because there were many characters and the houses had corners that at first glance misled you. I saw a witch and a mummy, I have the proof!
Between the two houses above I am clear about which one I would choose to live in. I'll stay with the goblins.
I really liked the following three scenarios. First we find the famous Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza. May Cervantes forgive me, but I have been unable to finish his masterpiece. I've had three attempts.
My favourite is the middle box. The simplicity is brutal and yet the three caravels of Christopher Columbus evoke to me without hesitation.
As for the lower train, it was a beauty and I still have in mind my trip in one similar to that. It was also blue.
In the last room there is a showcase that is rather a large showcase. Several consecutive scenes were shown here. The first one reminded me of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Without leaving the sea, the second scene was a beautiful lighthouse with some caves excavated in the rock where it settled.
And in the last one, an Arab souk transported us to the dreams of The Thousand and One Nights.
If I have to keep only one of these characters or stories, I choose the simplicity of The Little Prince, which is also one of my favourite books. And you?

Supongo que estar delante de esos destellos de magia debe ser algo muy emocionante.
Sí, lo disfruté mucho. Por un rato me sumergí en ese mundo de fantasía y me olvidé del resto. En efecto, el origami es un arte y nada fácil de practicar. Gracias por apreciarlo.
A mí siempre me ha fascinado. En ocasiones me apoyo en ellos para trabajar en mis terapias con pacientes y da mucho resultado.

Paloma qué bonito todo lo que veo aquí. La primera idea que llegó a mi mente fue que quienes hacen esto son verdaderos artistas. Por cierto, ¿quién hace todo esto? ¿No están firmados? Aquí honestamente, si alguna vez lo dijiste, me falló la memoria de elefante, y ese de allí está muy bonito.
Otra cosa, hoy @elbuhito posteó una pradera con elefantes origamis. ¡Voy para allá!
Ah, tener un amplio bagaje cultural es como tener siempre un As bajo la manga. ;)

No puedo con el Quijote. Mejor dicho, no puedo con las ediciones que he leído. El castellano antiguo se me hace bola y pierdo el hilo.

Que hermosura de origamis, preciosos. Una tremenda exposición y un recorrido excelente pero me hubiese gustado estar allí, y no te disculpes con Cervantes Don quijote es un libro muy complejo se que lo terminaras de leer en algún momento,, y sin duda alguna el principio es una de las maravillas literarias a pesar de sus pocas páginas es un libro con un gran significado. Saludos
El origami siempre me llamó la atención pero no sabía de las maravillas que se pueden crear con papel hasta que no visité este museo.
Lo del Quijote no me preocupa ya, aunque como gran lectora que soy es una espinita que llevo ahí, quizás sea como dices y un día logre terminarlo.
El Principito es maravilloso, guardo mi ejemplar con mucho cariño y de vez en cuando le doy un repaso.
