They tried to have one final rooftop dinner, but the late-August storm had other plans which disrupted the flow of things for the young picnickers. The one week event has so far been going on smoothly with rooftop dinners every two days at intervals.
Melvin who has been the coordinator was pleased with the way their summer plans have been going on. Come to think of it, the weather has been splendid all these while.
The final activities before the end of the camp were a burnifre night and one final rooftop dinner. The burnifre night was fun as the campers sang and danced to various local songs.
Then came the last activity, a farewell party which is to be held at the rooftop by 7pm. All these time the picnickers never cared to check the weather forecast and that was their undoing. The weather forecast had predicted a storm to occur around the time fixed for the dinner. They never knew that the late-August storm had other plans which will ultimately disrupted the flow of things for them.
As they were seated and set for the dinner the weather started to change and became very cloudy and windy. Soon rain started to fall and it rained heavily for over two hours. The party was disrupted and the management of the resort informed the young picnickers that the rooftop was unsafe to continue the dinner that night.
The young picnickers had to return to their various rooms in preparation for their departure in the morning.
