This fight is from my Brawl Fight, and the rules are Close Range, Back to Basics, and the Toxic Fumes are one of the most notable combat conditions.

Line Ups

In order to ensure that the damage is directed towards the first position and not the backlines or the middle position, my tanker, Mycelic Slipspawn, is set to use its taunt ability. I am concentrating on magic damage, sustainable tactics, and recovery in this battle. Because I employ the obsidian summoner's power and deal one magic damage to all friendly units, I make sure that every monster on the field is using magic. That is what immediately comes to mind, and I am eager to use it as soon as necessary. However, I was shocked to realize that I was so rash in my decision-making that I almost forgot the basic rules to follow. Rather than confidently using the healing and recovery abilities, which are out of my control considering that they are forbidden in the battlefield, all of our monsters are playing without any abilities; instead, it is all about the card's power, health, and stats, which can be maximized in this type of battle scenario. Since one of the most difficult rules in Splinterlands is the Noxious Fumes, which damage all monsters by two at the end of the battle phase, it can be difficult, but still playable and winnable. It may sound crazy, but sometimes it is an overwhelming energy to play without considering the effect of rashly fighting without proper planning. Despite the odds and the problem, I continue the battle and fight with honor.

Because Mycelic Slipspawn, Goblin Psychic, Regal Peryton, and Blackmoor Wild Elf all had three magic damage a potent tool that could severely weaken my opponent in the first round, that is because of the power of obsidian magic damage buff, I had the four best cards in my setup that could severely punish my opponent in the early rounds. Given the poison rules established for this match, it's difficult to imagine that I could play in the lengthy battle. The finest part of my plan is to eliminate him as quickly as possible because there won't be any healing or recovery. Otherwise, the toxic fumes will wipe me out.

To my surprise, my opponent is using a dragon element summoner. Based on my opponent's lineup, I can see that he has only two magic prowess in his team, one tanker with melee damage, and a stagnant melee monster in the second position. This makes its Skyspire Leopard useless because it cannot attack and lacks the ability due to the back to basics. This gives me the advantage because one of its monsters will do nothing but slowly take damage from the toxic fumes without engaging in combat.

The first fight was so great that I destroyed my opponent by two cards in round one. Since the first and second positions had already lost the battle, and my cards were still complete for the upcoming round two battle, technically, I had the advantage in the first battle, even though the poison damage was still going through it. This is a full-power attack by the next round. Unfortunately, as the battle commenced, my Mycelic Slipspawn got killed by that toxic gas.

As the battle went on, I thought it would be straightforward, but it turned out to be more challenging because my opponent still had life to carry the poison's damage while my units had less health. The most critical battle of the line occurs in round three because I did not anticipate that my opponent would still be able to perform well and survive round two. As the battle started, the poison gradually destroyed our cards until there was only one monster remaining. The Chaos Adjutant who managed to withstand the poison and declare my victory. Without its health, I might have to draw the fight.

It was a wonderful battle, and the outcome surprised me because I thought it could be an easy one, but it ended up being a last man standing, and my cards still count as a victory.
