PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 8 Aug 2025
Greetings everyone, we are one day away from the National Day of Singapore and I am looking forward to the long weekend. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup my lineup against all the opponents that I am facing and how I adjust my lineup to ensure the rulesets are being taken cared of.
Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 3 or 4. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To also remind myself, I will also need to continue building up my collection and levelling them up. So let's get right on with the brawl report.
Brawl 1

| Selection: | Heavy Hitters, Fog of War and Shades of Grey. Time to test out the neutral collection again. I do have some Orcs so I used the water Orc Archon to see if able to pull some stuff. Key was to have Tatiana Blayde in the lineup with some protection to help her do some good damage while the bigger hitters at the back do damage. |
| Outcome: | Win! I had a much stronger neutral lineup than my opponent and it served me well. The flanking to protect Tatiana Blayde is really good to allow her some good damage to grow while ensuring she don't take in too much damage. |

| Selection: | Lost Magic and Unprotected. For me, I just lay down all I have in terms of melee firepower and planted a thorns card at the tail to see if I am able to trap any sneak attackers and give them a piece of their own medicine. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent only had 2 cards while I had a whole array of cards that all have fantastic abilities and breeze through this match. Opponent cards were cleared up in no time as my heavy hitters were able to anchor and prevent opponent from growing. |

| Selection: | Lost Legendaries, Lost Magic and Deflection Field. For me, all I wanted is to use my fire lineup with damage uplift by Portly Cannoneer for +1 melee damage and push through considering that the available mana is really low to establish a strong lineup. Using my favourite Drybone Megalodon and Mana Warden to lead the front to sustain big damage from the front |
| Outcome: | Win! We did what we need to do, sufficient sustain at the front, enough damage from the rear and having that extra 2 armour is really important to help us win. |

| Selection: | Silenced Summoner, Deflection Field, Back to Basics. This is a simple for me to just unleash whatever magic attackers I have and the ones that hit real hard. Since everything is silent and it will be a raw battle, ignoring armour and using magic is the most clear cut way. |
| Outcome: | Win! Strategy worked as plan where all my big hitters just continuously bulldoze through and take out opponent's cards one by one whee most are really low health. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 4 matches for this brawl and won 5 out of the 5 of which included 1 fleeing opponents. No more complacency, just full focus and knowing what I need to do. Choosing right splinters and right combination to return to my usual form. A clean sweep once again! Thankful that I achieved this after one week of bad play.
Another strong performance by the guild and this time round as we pushed back up to the podium and landed at position 3. We do have 8 people participating in the brawl this time round and I am glad that we have done pretty well. There are still empty frays in the guild which can accommodate more players. Having more will just help us get more wins too and I certainly hope we can have more people into the guild. Well done guys. Go PIZZA 2!
Closing
There is definitely room for more people to join us in PIZZA 2and participate. It will be a bonus if you have a good collection of Conclave Arcana cards since those frays are poorly filled right now or even if you do not, just joining the fray could already help improve our guild win rate.
