PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 6 Dec 2025
Greetings everyone, we are just into weekend and the latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended just about a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup each lineup against all the opponents that I am facing in the brawl and how I adjusted each lineup to we get the most out of each ruleset. I am starting to ramp down my work as the holiday season is coming up and it is also time to clear some of my annual leave. I am still trying to get my hands on the death archon but thankfully this time we did not had to use it.
Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 4 or 5. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To consistently remind myself, I cannot be just using the same old cards at the same level without growth as other players will grow and become stronger. So let's get right on with the brawl report.

| Selection: | Four's a crowd, reverse speed and lost magic. Lost magic means no Quora and for this case I attempted to use a lineup that is from fire splinter that is heavy on the big melee attackers and boosting it with some inspire to make it hurt more. |
| Outcome: | Win! When I saw it was eternal Toufu I was a little taken aback because it gives taunt to the whole lineup. But this is one super close battle where we went all the way till the end with me only remaining a range card. A nice win to remember. |

| Selection: | Even Steven, Camouflage and Aimless. Even though this has an interesting combination of ruleset, with a tight mana and earth splinter available, it is the rule of thumb to place Quora there and start bulldozing. |
| Outcome: | Win! Quora shine here because all the damage will go to her first and she just keep attacking and healing to overthrow my opponent with ease. |

| Selection: | Odd Ones Out, Armoured Up and What doesn't kill you. When I run through all the possible selections based on my collection, I found that I have a bigger collection on odd mana life cards and use Marisol to anchor the lineup with a bunch of Ulund. |
| Outcome: | Win! A nice win that I had which I overpowered my opponent with a balanced amount of cards and easily obtain a win, taking advantage of the bloodline boost. |

| Selection: | Heavy Metal, Are You Not Entertained and Camouflage. Low mana and lacking of armour made me unable to select Quora. I went with a Ironwing Juggernaut at the front supported by Chimney Wallstop, which will reach in from 2nd position. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Nice game plan by my opponent to use Chinmey at the front to clock the kill and from then on move on to win the match with a powered up Chimney. |
Guild Final Tally
From a bad brawl, I have manage to get myself back on track to just losing 1 match. I was assigned 5 matches, I won 4 which included one fleeing enemy and lost 1. On top of that, there were 3 additional wins from unfilled frays. Not as bad as previous as I hope to maintain my performance.
We once again came in at rank 4. Been a while since we had tasted rank 4. Hopefully we can all still do well accordingly as a guild as we continue to build up ourselves for future brawls and hopefully more can join back to participate. Go PIZZA 2!
Closing
The archon gap is not fully resolved and also we are seeing fewer people participate which is a worry sign. Hopefully regulars can come back to brawling.
