PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 6 Apr 2026
Greetings everyone, hope is everyone doing great as we start a brand new week. The latest brawl that my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended almost a day ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup each lineup against all the opponents that I am facing in the brawl and how I adjusted each lineup to we get the most out of each ruleset. I missed the last brawl and very sorry to my fellow guild members. I will be more mindful of the timeline for future brawls.
Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 4 or 5. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To consistently remind myself, I cannot be just using the same old cards at the same level without growth as other players will grow and become stronger. So let's get right on with the brawl report.
Brawl 1

| Selection: | What doesn't kill you and might makes right. This is an awkward match with only 18 mana available and there is a big restriction on the card selection. The only card I can propoerly field is Lord Thanalor. |
| Outcome: | Lose. This is a tough one. Opponent had an extra mana when using a 3 mana and able to field more cards than I can, capitalizing on mana gap that I had to win over me. |

| Selection: | Junior Varsity and Back to Basics. Another card restriction ruleset that make things difficult for selection. For me I can only plant all my small cards and hope that I am able to field something viable within 12 mana. |
| Outcome: | Win! A close one using mixed lineup and Halfling Refugee doing work to secure the win. This is actually really tough and I need to think of how to field cards when faced with such a lineup. |

| Selection: | Back to Basic and Deflection Field. Not sure why keep seeing back to basic. With this I will field 2 of the better ones for this ruleset, Halfling Refugee and Shock Trooper which get the negative ability removed. The remaining lineup are all magic attackers to bulldoze through my opponent lineup. |
| Outcome: | Win! Making use of back to basics, the cards with negative ability all doing some good work and giving much damage to my opponent while the remaining of the lineup added pressure to my opponent and bring home the win. |

| Selection: | Back to Basics, Noxious Fumes and Collateral Damage. This is a tough one, but being back to basics again, I used those cards again and hope that I can smash my opponent faster than they can smash me with a few others to fill up the lineup. |
| Outcome: | Win! This is tough, so many ways to reduce health and somehow I manage to have enough health to sustain through a totally clear out my opponent with minimal card still standing. |

| Selection: | Super Sneak only. Loads of mana so I have to pick my cards wisely. I used Ulund bloodline, which will give me tough Ulund so I placed 2 at the rear to fend off damage and one at the front to sustain the barrage from the front. Marisol is picked to add more pressure to my opponent. |
| Outcome: | Win! This is a crazy match that went neck to neck. I think I will do a full match feature on this is my battle sharing post. Love how the match went and how I manage to finally overcome my opponent. |
Guild Final Tally
This brawl I am assigned 6 matches and I managed to win 5 of them, lost 1 and with 1 escaped opponent. 3 bonus win from unfilled fray. The match that I lost is really due to lack of collection to have the 3 mana archon for fielding more cards with tight mana.
For this brawl, we ended up being placed at 7th position, not the best that we can achieve. Opponents are getting stronger and we cannot rest on our laurels, we need to progress and get our wins once again.
Closing
Fewer people participate within the guild for multiple brawls counting and it is taking a toll on our SPS earned and ranking. We also need to get stronger with opponents getting stronger.
