PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 30 Apr 2025
Greetings everyone, it's the end of the month and EOS had just come upon us, hope you are getting a good amount of rewards. Conclave Arcana presale is ongoing now and will be done in approximately 10 day-ish. I am expected brawl to be shaken up and new frays for Conclave Arcana coming so let's see how things turn out. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended approximately a few hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Taking Sides only. A lineup with Quora will make a lot of sense here so I just fielded her with Obsidian for the magic boost with Djinn Biljka supporting. Quora is expecting to grow big with each kill on a small mana match should be dominated by her. |
| Outcome: | Win! While opponent also used Quora, Obsidian's boost become the thing that set us apart due to much heavier magic attack which got us the victory. |

| Selection: | Tis but scratches, Fog of war and lost legendaries. With such a set of ruleset. Key will be to be able to launch big attacks onto opponent from afar and for me, my death splinter will have the most options to do so. |
| Outcome: | Win! I think if my opponent field in cards correctly, it might be a closer fight because there are a number of cards in sitting duck mode due to fog of war and I took the advantage using all my long range attackers to seal the win. |

| Selection: | Going the distance and deflection field. Usually what I know is that this ruleset is always having opponents with a lacking of cards to fill. So for this I tried to field as much as I can with all kind of range attackers I have in my collection. |
| Outcome: | Win! Interestingly I faced a Toufu but not sure how it can actually help in the matchup. Opponent's lineup is lean and I easily overcome with my fully loaded lineup which can really do some big punishment. |

| Selection: | Going the distance again but this time round with a much leaner mana limit to use. Tatiana Blayde is one of the best for this ruleset as she can land melee attack as well due to her dual attack capability. The remaining cards are utility or martyr on my end to boost Tatiana Blayde stats. |
| Outcome: | Win! This time round opponent had a stronger lineup with big cards but my lineup had more depth and Tatiana Blayde was the one that drew the differences and bring me the victory. |

| Selection: | Even Stevens, Noxious Fumes and Up to Eleven. Quora was a guaranteed started with me hesitating who to help her. I chose Thanalorian Blade for the opportunity and hope that small critter can be killed off through her opportunity strikes. |
| Outcome: | Lost. Bad decision for this match, because opponent fielded a similar lineup with Goblin Psychic supporting and it worked better to give Quora more health and my Thanalorian Blade was at level 1 without execute to totally get rid of Goblin Psychic and allowed my opponent to pounce. |

| Selection: | Rise of commons, super sneak and fire and regret. I planted Marksrat at the back to boost my Coastal Sentry and used Commander Slade at the front to have both big guns to handle front and back. |
| Outcome: | Win! Costal Sentry just bulldoze through and tear down many cards from the back with its strong attack which opponent cannot grow in the time and fell to my massive assault. |

| Selection: | Might makes right and silenced summoner. Only death splinter so I used Trapp Falloway to lead the charge and Meriput Slinger to support with the limited mana pool to use. |
| Outcome: | Win! I guess opponent had some struggle with collection and ended up fielding 2 range attacker which allowed me to narrowly escape this. |

| Selection: | Shades of grey, heavy hitters and melee mayhem. Likely will be another collection driven placement for many. I fielded all my biggest hitters and let's see all these big guns if able to take down my opponent prepared lineup. |
| Outcome: | Win! I had a bigger collection and variety as compared to my opponent and easily pull off massive attacks to overturn my opponent's lineup. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 9 matches for this brawl and won 8 out of the 9 matches. 1 fleeing opponent and an additional 0 wins due to unfilled frays from opponent guild. Missed the clean sweep by one match but glad for the high number of wins.
We've dropped further in rank and only manage to clinch 8th position for this brawl. We need to really get more people in as we are struggling to get more wins. The filling up of frays alone will help chalk up the wins because some other guilds did not fill fully. We have really strong fighters already in the guild with good track record, all we need will be any new players to join us and grow together. Go PIZZA 2!
