PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 3 Mar 2025
Greetings everyone and hope that all of you are doing fine after the weekend. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended approximately a day ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. I've missed out on a brawl that closed a few days earlier due to me having other content to post. I will catch up on it to further document in when I have more time in future post. But nevertheless, let's start with today's post.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Lost Legendaries, Wands Out and High Five. While the usual magic heavy lineup are not available, I chose something that I have recently played more magic on, Life Splinter. The lineup assembled was made up of different functional groups with Captain Katie and Olivia the 2 attackers to punish opponent. |
| Outcome: | Win! A good way to start today's brawl where I see how my lineup was able to synergize and clear out opponent key attacker before continuing the barrage and securing the win. |

| Selection: | Back to basic, close range and keep your distance. For this, it was a very low mana match so I just bite the bullet and tried using Oshannus to anchor and hold off any damage. |
| Outcome: | Win! It was a little risky against a powered up Slipspawns but I was glad that I choose to boost my 2nd card after Oshannus to do more damage and it indeed came in handy to land me my 2nd win! |

| Selection: | What doesn't kill you, taking sides and explosive weaponry. My plan is to use Katrelba to bulldoze my opponent with the double strike and landing some free kills along the way to boost up Katrelba and give it a stronger blood lust and stats. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Momentum lost and we have the first lost of the brawl. While I did have a plan, I miscalculated as opponent had a better plan to keep things simple and use Quora to bulldoze us. Good judgement against my bad call. |

| Selection: | This is almost like a repeat of ruleset as previous, the only change is that explosive weaponry now replaced by Stampede. I planned for a full lineup of various sneak and opportunity attackes in hope to strike cards out as fast as I could. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent seemed to give up and fielded a single card which was no match against my lineup as we quickly disposed the card off to get the win. |

| Selection: | Noxious Fumes, heavy hitters and Blood & Sunder. Since it is Noxious fumes, Marksrat was planned in the middle of the lineup for detonation and benefit more card. River Nymph is there to give Oshannus a cleanse to allow it to see through the match with Riverhellondale for resurrection and Musa Saline for the scavenge to bulk up. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent had no cleanse mechanism or cards with immunity, my lineup just chew them up with the various magic attack and finally opponent cards just died to the poison that went up their throat. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 5 matches for this brawl and 4 out of 5 of them. 0 fleeing opponent and an additional 4 wins due to unfilled frays from opponent guild. I had a good brawl this time round and there is one learning point on the miscalculation which I will avoid repeating in the future.
After a strong performance that saw us pushing into the podium, we slipped big time and ended up at position 5. In this brawl the guild only able to gather 47 win which is much higher than usual. We need more players to clock more wins otherwise it will always be a big gap that we have no way to chase no matter how strong we played. Go PIZZA 2!
