PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 3 Feb 2025
Greetings everyone and hope that all of you are doing fine. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had just ended slightly more than 24 hours ago, apologies for the slightly later post and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. Matches are getting a little tougher to win nowadays and brawl matches that are analyzed do help us to improve our gameplay and become better in it.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Rare occasion to see standard ruleset. I planted 3 kinds of double strikers in this matchup in hope that they do me well and strike my opponent hard right from the start. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Bad start for me my opponent had the better part of the deal fielding 2 heavy duty Gladius which opened up my backline and overcome me with ease. |

| Selection: | Super Sneak, Explosive Weaponry and Scatter Shot. This match, instead of choosing Quora style lineup, I instead went for a much tankier Fire lineup which made up of loads of big hitting melee attackers such as Chinmey Wallstop, Grum Flame Blade and The Forgotten One. |
| Outcome: | Win! While my opponent opted for Quora, the sheer damage that my lineup inflicted was too much for my opponent to handle and we breeze through this match. |

| Selection: | Noxious Fumes, Reverse Speed and Blood and Sunder. With a very limited mana to work with, I chose to go with something that maybe helped a little by dropping health of my opponent and reduce their magic attack when I chose to use Thaddius Brood alongside Djinn Muirat |
| Outcome: | Win. Opponent seemed to give up and I manage to just power through my Djinn Muirat and secure the win. |

| Selection: | Are You Not Entertained and Aim True. For this, I put up 3 gladius cards and hoping that all three will grow and grow through the blood lust. |
| Outcome: | Win! With aim true, every whack is a confirmed hit and with all 3 gladius card landing hits and getting stronger, it will be too tough for my opponent to reverse back and turn the tide against me. |

| Selection: | Heavy Metal, Reverse Speed and Noxious Fumes. Not an easy match to field, I picked all the slow moving cards and I deliberately used an extra Moxian Rebel to give Ulundin Overseer some magic to make it able to do damage. |
| Outcome: | Win! We had enough to sustain through as compared to my opponent whom hard quite a number of low health cards whom fell to the poison quickly. |

| Selection: | Back to Basics, Tis But Scratches and Go The Distance. Load up my lineup with all that I can field and also included Kha'zi Conjurer whom give a strong value during back to basics ruleset. |
| Outcome: | Win! While opponent used a close range summoner, it could not stand up to the layer of attackers I had whom eventually help me to sustain longer for Kha'zi Conjurer to strike sufficiently |

| Selection: | Noxious Fumes, Super Sneak and Explosive Weaponry. Loaded my backline with martyr and Quora/Katrelba, and this is to boost them as the start to bully from the backline. From the front there is Grund to do the smashing. |
| Outcome: | Win! Another one for the record which had loads of punishment done from the back as the Gladius cards chew card by card in their enhanced form. |

| Selection: | Divine Shield, Scatter Shot and Weak Magic. While it is weak magic, I still fielded a strong magic team which I planned to be able to handle against some magic lineup, there is sufficient healing cycle also deployed. |
| Outcome: | Lose. I lost out to the randomness from scatter shot where some of my cards were killed earlier and fed the growth of opponent Quora whom then eat up my lineup one by one. Tough loss but still we need to accept the defeat. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 8 matches for this brawl and 6 out of 8 of them. 0 fleeing opponent and an additional 1 wins due to unfilled frays from opponent guild. Tough losses where I lost marginally which is not very good. Need to work harder for sure.
Gosh, we maintained at 7th place and only clocking 46 wins. Not a good result for sure as many opponents are clocking much more wins and even rank 5 has 74 wins. It has really become a numbers game since we are really losing out by the number of frays filled. We need to get more people in for sure to bulk up the wins. Go PIZZA 2!
