PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 26 Jan 2025
Greetings everyone and hope that all of you are doing fine this lovely Sunday. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had just ended almost 24 hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. There are loads of valuable lessons to be learnt in the gameplay and selection.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | What Doesn't Kill You, Keep Your Distance and Explosive Weaponry. The tricky part to the matchup is the low mana available, hence I could only go with Oshannus and hope everything turn out ok. |
| Outcome: | Win! Thankfully, when I saw the lineup, I knew this is a win because Revealer cannot deal damage to me at all as I slowly wear it down and take home the win. |

| Selection: | Scattershot, Might Makes Right and Aim True. For this since I can afford it, I went for double Gladius with a Gladius summoner. This is because I just needed that extra oomph and blast through my opponent with heavy artillery and I wanted an additional armour to handle the big attack expected from my opponent. Marisol and Captain Katie is my choice and hope they do me proud. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent had a similar lineup but without Gladius. It was a great attempt by it cannot fend off the growing capability of Gladius cards when they see blood. A nice win with ease. |

| Selection: | Blood and Sunder, Might Makes Right and Equalizer. Might makes right usually makes it really hard to put up a proper lineup. And with equalizer and high mana, I just dump whatever card that can fill the lineup into it. Ended up, I had 3 range attackers which is kinda unexpected. |
| Outcome: | Win. I guess the main issue my opponent had was the lack of available cards to fill the lineup as I only saw 2 cards. While on my end, I had a full suite to blast through. A win because of opponent is disabled with lack of cards. |

| Selection: | Born Again and Equalizer. For this, due to a very low mana, I also put in low mana cards like Halfling Refugee and also a combination of Moxian Rebel and Riftwing. Hopefully I have fielded sufficiently to have an advantage. |
| Outcome: | Win. Opponent only fielded 2 card. But even with higher damage, the lack of cards as meat ball eventually got the best of them and opponent fall to layered of cards in their way. |

| Selection: | Lost Magic, Aim True and Born Again. With this, a simple setup is to load in double gladius with the heavy melee hitting one like Katrelba and also various double attackers to turn on the heat and win fast. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Turn up the heat and I got thorns. The Eternal Toufu is another nemesis to me. While I had everything ready for a fast win. I got caught and gotten a fast lose instead due to the thorns. |

| Selection: | Lost Legendaries, Are You Not Entertained and Heavy Hitters. I don't really have. acard that can issue stunt so I just played normally and fielded Marisol and Katie again. These 2 are really crazy cards that makes it really hard for opponent to turn back. Other cards in the lineup also boost attack and health capabilities. |
| Outcome: | Win! After losing 2 matches, I had to fight back and overturn the situation. The 2 gladius went ramage and cleared whatever my opponent had and Olivia focus on clearing the healer to make it worse for my opponent. Great win! |

| Selection: | Super Sneak, Noxius Fumes and Need for Speed. I need a target to absorb damage and Helheim Demon comes to play while I had Trapp Falloway striking hard and growing each turn. |
| Outcome: | Win! Plan worked as Trapp just continuously chew on opponent lineup with a diversion and a front shield to hold things up. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 8 matches for this brawl and 6 out of 8 of them. 0 fleeing opponent and an additional 1 wins due to unfilled frays from opponent guild. Not the best result I would want to have but still very decent in terms of the wins.
Not very good this time round with us falling to 7th place and only clocking 47 wins. We definitely can do better but we need the numbers. With what we have as a guild, landing at this position is already very formidable considering the number of frays that we only managed to fill. The lack of players for brawl hinders us from gathering even more wins. I really hope we can gather new players to join the guild and help us get higher in the standings. Go PIZZA 2!
