PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 23 July 2025
Greetings everyone, the latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets.
Conclave Arcana frays are live in brawl, the modern fray is no longer Chaos Legion and Rebellion but now it will be Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 3 or 4. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. So let's get right on with the brawl report.
Brawl 1

| Selection: | Deflection Field, Ferocity and also Wands Out. The ruleset of the three that dictates the matchup will be wands out because it will significantly reduced the number of available cards that one can use. For me, it is quite simple what I want to do, survive longer than my opponent in this low mana match up. Shadowfey Shiek is meant to do like last time how Life Sapperdid and Arachne Weaver is there to heal up. |
| Outcome: | Win! With a tight mana imposed, it is not exactly easy for both side to put up strong lineups. I guess I had just enough to outlast my opponent with the life leech. A fun match where we need to think hard what cards to field. |

| Selection: | Even Stevens, Weak Magic and Tis But Scratches. Even Stevens and Weak Magic will be the 2 key consideration. While magic will be thwarted by armour in this match, I had Tatiana Blayde to clear off frontline armour while the remaining cards will be doing magic damage to clear off opponent cards. Not the most desirable but with the full magic barrage, we should be able to clear off armour quickly and do substantial damage. |
| Outcome: | Win! Another strong win with Helheim Demon absorbing all the backline attacks while Tatiana do her thing while being supported by the remaining magic attackers. Nice and simple win. |

| Selection: | Keep Your Distance and Are You Not Entertained. No melee allowed here so it will be range and magic fights. For me, key is to bulldoze down my enemy lineup and I had an ilky feeling that opponent might field a flying card so I also prepared Fenmoor Wood Troll to specifically clear them fast. I had a mixture of both range and magic attackers with Elf Blood Line in place, Elves get to strike more when opponent is low in health. |
| Outcome: | Win! The bloodline advantage came in handy as 3 of my cards had the chance to strike more often when opponent cards are low in health and that aid in pushing through my opponent lineup. While opponent fielded 2 gladius cards due to the ruleset, the additional attacks prove too much to handle for my opponent. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 3 matches for this brawl and won 3 out of the 3 of which included 0 fleeing opponents. On top of that, an additional 6 match won due to lack of participation from other guilds. Lacking participation in Conclave Arcana frays did gave me such a big booster in win counts and I am glad I decided to embark on this and continue build up my collection. Another clean sweep achieved and I will need to continue to work hard to maintain it.
Another strong performance by the guild and this time round, we even managed to climb into top 4. To break the win count problem, like another player shared, maybe all we need is just players whom can just fill the fray and we might already get a chunk of free wins. So maybe we should be looking for players whom can just the fray and let the result take care of itself.
Closing
We are lacking players whom can just join us and participate. It will be a bonus if you have a good collection of Conclave Arcana cards since those frays are poorly filled right now or even if you do not, just joining the fray could already help improve our guild win rate.
