PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 23 Aug 2025
Greetings everyone, how are you doing this start of a lovely week. The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup my lineup against all the opponents that I am facing and how I adjust my lineup to ensure the rulesets are being taken cared of.
Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 3 or 4. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To also remind myself, I will also need to continue building up my collection and levelling them up. So let's get right on with the brawl report.
Brawl 1

| Selection: | Broken arrow and What Doesn't Kill You. Only Fire Splinter for splinter selection. This will be a full fledge melee linup that I will put up with frontal tank gaining shield and various cards in the backline that can also hit hard through opportunity and sneak. |
| Outcome: | Lose. While I thought I have all I needed for the match, I was overwhelmed by opponent's Chinmey Wallstop that grew so much larger than with each kill towards the end that none of my cards can handle. Nice anticipation from my opponent. |

| Selection: | Unprotected, Upclose and Personal and Manoeuvres. For me, because of the reach being enable for the cards, I decided to put something in front of Quora as a tank since Quora can still do her damage in full from 2nd position. The rest were heavy hitting cards of minimally 2 damage. |
| Outcome: | Win! The team came up on top with Quora overwhelming my opponent's Quora as turn by turn we chew down the lineup my opponent put up. The additional tank in front of Quora helped her to strike well but avoid absorbing all the damage at first. |
Brawl 3

| Selection: | Even Stevens, Noxious Fumes and Fog of War. Not an easy lineup to field especially with a mana restriction and also removing opportunity and sneak which meant that the lineup likely will be mainly magic or range attackers. Other than Thanalorian Blade whom become the tank, every other card in the lineup do have either range or magic attack and have higher amounts of health to sustain the poison. |
| Outcome: | Win! I got enough to handle this and opponent only had 2 cards which meant that it is likely a case of lack of cards to field and ended up with this situation. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 6 matches for this brawl and won 4 out of the 6 of which included 2 fleeing opponent. Above review only showed one loss, where did the other came from? Again it was me fleeing due to lack of Archon. This is a constant problem that I will need to fix else it will repeat again and again. Another 3 wins came from unfilled frays.
We tried our best but landed at position 4. An improvement from the previous and I think with more of us being regularly, it had served us well to clock the required wins. We are doing better in recent brawls and I hope we can have more people joining us to help us secure top 3 spot regularly.
Closing
There is definitely room for more people to join us in PIZZA 2and participate. It will be a bonus if you have a good collection of Conclave Arcana cards since those frays are poorly filled right now or even if you do not, just joining the fray could already help improve our guild win rate. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
