PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 21 Jan 2025
Greetings to all and hope that all of you are doing fine. The latest brawl which my guild participated in had just ended almost 24 hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. Plenty gone through the mind to learn, loads to review/analyze and also a continuous effort get myself better in gameplay.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Silenced Summoner. Whenever this is being encountered, the abilities of the cards becomes very important. So for me, it will always to use Quora to anchor the match because she is one card that can carry matches with ease. The next will be to use martyr to further boost and also some protection to give more defensive margin together with tank heal against strong opponents for more sustainability. |
| Outcome: | Win! Quora is key here and with the support from the Queen Mycelia and also Goblin Psychic, this is a walk in the park as Quora gets stronger and stronger though at times being stunned by Revealer. |

| Selection: | Blood and Sunder, Four's a Crowd and Upclose and Personal. Such a ruleset, the best is to include something that has 2 kinds of attack including melee. So for me, I had Quora and Drybone Raider both of which excel in such a match. To allow more protection, I had Arkemis in the lineup for additional armour and finally right at the front, Grund leads the charge with the double strikes. |
| Outcome: | Win! Nice anticipation by my opponent to have thorns at the front to give me back my heavy melee, but it could only handle this much before my lineup overrun it and started clearing the remaining cards in opponent lineup. Having 2 attacks really makes things much easier to gain advantage rather than just a single attack. |

| Selection: | Close Range, Scattershot and Weak Magic. For me, I planned for a mix melee and magic lineup so that I diversify my attack in case all get absorbed by armour. Standard taunt supported by Quora and healers is being selected to front this lineup. |
| Outcome: | Lose. My arch nemesis Immortalis is being encountered now. This becomes a big problem as my magic attack become weakened and makes it hard for me to gain ground. Otherwise it proved to be tough to handle such a summoner that totally negate the effects and boost. |

| Selection: | Broken arrow, rise of commons and little league. For this I tried to use Moxian Rebel and a number of cards to gain some foothold on my opponent. What I had in front is a tank with shield and sufficient armour. Gobalano with ambush hopes to clear off as many cards from the back if possible. |
| Outcome: | Lose. While I did have a good plan to know what I need to do to clear down my opponent, Daigendark Surveyor totally undo what I have prepared as I get killed by the magic reflect and finally lost the match. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 6 matches for this brawl and 4 out of 6 of them. 2 fleeing opponent and an additional 2 wins due to unfilled frays from opponent guild. Compared to my fellow guild members, I did not do as well and clocked 2 defeats. I will continue to work on my gameplay and hopefully be able to put in better strategies for future brawls.
Another well fought brawl by our guild as we managed to finish it it at rank 4 with a total of 48 wins. With what we have as a guild, landing at this position is already very formidable considering the number of frays that we only managed to fill. The lack of players for brawl hinders us from gathering even more wins. And I certainly hope that in due time, we can have more people joining our guild and helping us clinch a higher position. Go PIZZA 2!
