PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 18 Oct 2024
Greetings to all, Brawl had just ended just recently and I will be sharing all the matches that I was engaged in for this brawl. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation by guild members is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts and we need more people joining us and fill up those empty frays! And with fewer players playing brawl, it is going to be tougher moving forward to do get higher placing in brawls. We will need more fill up in brawl. In today's sharing, we also saw influence of the new rulesets as well.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good for me because now that I play in modern, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this fray, I get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I've been battling and trying to accumulate Glint so that I can more Rebellion Soul Bound cards into my collection which should come in handy for the matches. Let's start the battles!

| Selection: | Rise of Commons, Up close and personal, Stampede. No Quora can be used so I got Palidon Rakk to stand in and hold the front line. The remaining cards are all melee and generally of bigger striking capability with some defensive utility in Demoralize and and Protect. |
| Outcome: | Lose. I totally didn't expact my opponent to put up a super defensive lineup fielded with Shield while their Katrelba did menace on my whole lineup. Good play by my opponent. |

| Selection: | Fog of War, Fab Four and Melee Mayhem. I put up a lineup that included 2 of the stronger gladius cards in Marisol and Captain Katie whom are good in their own domain I also fielded Drybone Raider as well to capitalize the double attack/strike. Front line was led by Drybone Barbarian. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Oh my, this is not good, a consecutive lost where I see how my opponent used Lilypaw to fully control how my attacks land and totally make it tough for me as they have triage throughout. |

| Selection: | Fog of War, Beefcake and Maneuvers. Here we see a new ruleset in the form of beefcake we need to field cards that are of 5 health and above. This certainly makes it a difficult choice for me as it shut down many utility cards that are of lower health. I just assemble what I could and see what comes out. |
| Outcome: | Lose. 3rd loss in a row, this is really not going out well for me for this brawl. Opponent had Darg Deadblast which gave Baakjira the weapons training and make it a very lethal card to face amidst all the debuffs it added onto my lineup. |

| Selection: | Lost Magic, Earthquake and Up to Eleven. I fielded a heavy armoured lineup with a last stand card prepare as well with a detonating Marksrat that likely will help boost some stats. On the summoner front, I fielded something that will shave off 2 armour from my opponent to let them feel the effects of earthquake faster. |
| Outcome: | Win! At last, a win is achieved to recover from the 3 consecutive losses that happened earlier. For this, opponent simply gave up and put up a single card to the matchup. |

| Selection: | Beefcake, Heals Out and Opportunity. Low mana match with high health requirement so I just had to call upon Oshannus and hope to be able to outlast my opponent. |
| Outcome: | Win! Oshannus never fails and we secured a good win where my opponent fielded a Djinn Chwala which is definitely no match for Oshannus. |
Guild Final Tally
I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and managed to win only 2 out of 5 of them (no fleeing opponent). There is also an additional 4 wins due to lack of participation from other guilds. For the 3 loss, need some soul searching in terms of my strategy and also getting used to the new rulesets.
The guild ended at position 6 which is the one position lower than previous. With a lacking of active participants to fill the fray, things are really going to be tough as we will have difficulty clocking more win. As predicted we landed in the 4-6 range once again. This is round we are again really far away in terms of wins from climbing into top 3 by approximately 35 wins. To be part of the top 3, we really need more people taking part and filling up the frays. We really need more frays to be filled else we will just be giving away free wins to others when our true capability is not seen. Let's continue to do our thing and get the best out of what we have, learn more about the new rulesets and get stronger. Go PIZZA 2!

We really need more active brawl players who can help us fill up multiple frays, if you have a shiny collection and able to commit to the brawls, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild.
