PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 14 Dec 2024

Greetings to all, Brawl had just completed a few hours ago, time to look at how my guild PIZZA 2 did for the brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the match went for me and the thoughts behind how I do up my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. We have yoyo-ing for quite a while in terms of our brawl results and I really hope we can build up some consistency and get better rewards for everyone. Let's continue to learn about the game and get better with each day of battling.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. We have just completed an end of season and I've started to get cards hopefully I can have more flexibility in card selection for the next brawl. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl that just went over.

Selection:	Are You not entertained, Little league and born again. While we do have a very high mana available, with little league, you will at most need 28 mana to use all 4 mana cards. So key is to load in all the ability filled cards and get the advantage we need.
Outcome:	Win! Been a while since I last used Jini Guise due to Quora always is the one selected. But in Little League, she become an important piece of the puzzle, not only giving protection but also the damage will allow her to grow and grow. Then coupled with a secondary Queen Mycelia, as long it is a melee based opponent, our chance of victory is high is with all that I planned, it was a breeze to secure a win.

I have 3 cards here with dual attack and that is how I am gonna plan and clear off all the armour and then strike directly. A Night Reaper is placed as a strong backline dodger and also do big damage those flying stuff. With 2 of the 3 double attackers being Gladius, I am rather certain they can grow fast as they kill.
Outcome:	Win! Another impressive win with my plan all coming to pass and with Thane Newsong, every melee strike become way more painful especially it strikes twice. While opponent do ave similar idea, the difference is that we strike directly and get the blood lust quick to grow our cards fast.

For a brawl match where I would usually flood my board with many strong gladius cards, this is a match that I cannot because as they grow, they become more prone to missing hits. So I used mainly all my slow cards with 1 speed other than Jini Guise for the additional armour and hoping the magic will land and make her more effective. A contingency debuffing Venari Spellsmith also incuded.
Outcome:	Win! With what my opponent fielded, I was a little worried as I saw the double combo on weapons training on range and also tonnes of armour and taunt to make the attacks a little more complicated. The only thing that make me truly win is that I am slower than my opponent as I keep striking first with all my 1 speed cards. A nice win too!

	Remarks
Selection:	Go The Distance and Aim True. This kind of ruleset, my take is, if you cannot end fast then it will get harder as it goes. I took a gamble again. I went for speed attacks and attempt to overpower my opponent with loads of big magic attack from a boosted Oshannus and also Shock Trooper. High risk high reward in mind.
Outcome:	Win! Gamble did pay off and Shock Trooper recently had given me many wins because of its high damage though the whole lineup need to take 1 damage each turn but the big damage allowed it to take out 1 card per turn which is real scary and we have Oshannus handling the front to allow us sustain sufficiently long.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 7 matches this brawl and managed to win all 7e matches (including 2 fleeing opponent). No additional wins from other guild due to lack of fray filling. It's been a while now, but always great to achieve a clean sweep! I really missed having this and glad that I am still capable to achieve this.

While I managed to clock a clean sweep, we still fall short of wins to go higher up in the podium. Of all the members whom had consistently battling, all of you are wonderful and always fight well. Now all we need is to get more people into the guild and fill those other frays to get more wins. I know we can do this and lets get it going. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
We have strong fighters and it is very evident from our win rate. But if we continue missing out on filling frays, we lose to lack of participation which is really undesirable. If you have a shiny collection and able to commit to the brawls 2 times per week, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild, gold frays tend to have more free wins and please consider joining us if you can be regular. We are getting better in our participation already and getting better brawl rewards. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
