PIZZA 2 Brawl Report -10 May 2025
Greetings everyone, the latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended approximately just a few moments ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. Probably the last brawl that we have before Conclave Arcana comes in and potentially new frays will be added. For sure new strategies etc needs to explored when this happens.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion Cards. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily ranked battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will be exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

| Selection: | Rise of Commons and Blood and Sunder. A little sad to be not able to use my favourite Quora but this allows me to feature Katrelba whom is equally lethal and with me having Slipspawn to taunt attacks, this will give me more time to grow Katrelba. |
| Outcome: | Win! Simple win with Katelba leading the charge and causing problems for my opponent. And at the same time hold up strong against my opponent very pushy frontline. |

| Selection: | Stamepede, Reverse speed and lost magic. When there is such an opportunity, the key will be to plant all my slow and hard hitting melee cards like Grum Flameblade and Chinmey Wallstop and at the same time protect them with Ferox Defender's protect. Other cards in the selection are also planned with a slightly lower speed. |
| Outcome: | Win! I like how we wont this match with my opponent also having the intent of using slow attacking melee cards. We had more of the slow cards and easily secure the win. |

| Selection: | Explosive Weaponry, Reverse Speed, Super Sneak. For me, when there is such an opportunity, again slow cards are important which I loaded up from front and back, I added 2 more things which is protect from Ferox Defender and also a backline triage heal through Spirit Hoarder. |
| Outcome: | Win! The low speed cards hit first and hit hard to clear up multiple cards especially with the help of blast which makes things a little easier and it help to move the team faster toward victory. |

| Selection: | Maneuver, What doesn't kill you and target practice. Finally I get to use Quora, so in this match, I double Gladius with both Quora and Katrelba. Many double attackers delployed with hope to end the match quickly. |
| Outcome: | Win! The consistent barrage from my lineup is too tough to handle and hard for my opponent to sustain through. |

| Selection: | Melee Mayhem, Tis but scratches and close range. Another match that I can use Quora, so I used almost a similar form of lineup like the previous with the same 2 Gladius card but this time round, mana is a little tighter and I had Queen Mycelia and Spirit Hoarder in the lineup to boost some defence and heal up. |
| Outcome: | Win! Narrowly scrapped over but my opponent's cards area really strong and we fought till the end with many neck to neck moments. |

| Selection: | True shot, heavy metal and high five. As it goes, try shot which means I can use cards that are strong and massive with low speed but need not fear of them missing strikes. Again Grum Flameblade and Chimney wallstop appears. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent only fielded a Disintegrator. Not sure what happened but we breeze through this match and take home the victory. |

| Selection: | Explosive Weaponry, ferocity and Four's a crowd. On this, with the mana available, I planned for lineup with Captain Katie and Iziar hoping to meet some magic attackers. |
| Outcome: | Lose. This was a tough one to swallow with oppnent just using 2 low speed card to blast me through and gather a win with me struggling to retaliate but the armour reduction exposed me really too much and it was easy access for kills for my opponent. |

| Selection: | Even Steven, Ferocity and Healed Out. Not many choices for the splinters so I used death splinter and used Tatiana Blayde to lead the team. I had my Moxian Rebel backline prepared as well, hoping to slowly chimp away my opponent. |
| Outcome: | Lose. Oh my, a 2nd loss for this brawl. Bad move for me to put Tatiana Blayde at the front which just got bullied with thorns and also stun and rendering her ineffective very quickly. Next time I should plant a real tank instead of her so that I can last longer to reverse the outcome. |
Guild Final Tally
I was assigned 9 matches for this brawl and won 7 out of the 9 matches. There was 1 fleeing opponent and no additional wins from unfilled frays. Tough one especially towards the end. Could have been a little better but my play was not as good for the last 2 matches.
While we came close towards the podium in the last brawl, this time around we fallen 2 positions and landed at 6th position for this brawl. We had only 6 people participating in the brawls. In terms of wins, we did pretty well this time round with 40+ wins but fall short of going higher with opponent scoring about 60 wins and more for those above us..We need to really get more people in as we are struggling to get more wins. The filling up of frays alone will help chalk up the wins because some other guilds did not fill fully. We have really strong fighters already in the guild with good track record, all we need will be any new players to join us and grow together. Go PIZZA 2!
