Community Engagement Challenge: Tasoshi Drakamoto

Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's topic will be on promo card that we can purchase using vouchers. The card is Tasoshi Drakamoto from Fire Splinter and belonging to the Drakoshan bloodline. Let's us look deeper into the card and understand more about the card.

How To Get It?
To get a copy of this card, you can get it at 250 vouchers from the Exclusive Shop.

I do not have enough vouchers on hand, so if I want to have a copy of this I can head over to voucher exchange to have it exchanged as seen below. Do note that 250 vouchers is equivalent to $7 dollars and a max card will cost us near $320. Not a cheap card to own. If voucher is a problem, one can scurry the market for the card to see if one is able to get it below $7 dollars.

Stats and Abilities

Here is an overview of the stats and abilities of Tasoshi Drakamoto. And here's the description on each of the abilities in detail.

The sneak with magic with awesome as many might not be able to sustain consistent backline barrage by magic and it can easily clear off opponent cards. The inspire that is gained at level 3 is a crazy one where it will be able to boost existing fire cards which are generally more melee based. The stun at level 5 just makes its crazier as it can just wreck a card to cause it to miss a turn. And at final level, it will be able to "return the favour" with a counter attack upon defeated. Stat wise, it will gain the 3rd magic attack at level 4 and in general a relatively fast speed and 2 armour throughout.

Synergies and Combos

I would say the synergy comes when it involves the inspire ability which give additional 1 melee attack. This heavily boost up melee strikers big time and if combined with Portly Cannoneer whom also have inspire, this is effectively +2 melee attack and it is really gonna hurt big time.

Cards such as Bren Palesworn, Night Stalker or Gobalano Solider is going to benefit so much from this due to their sneak attack. And for Gobalano, that inspire also affects the ambush which is a real good thing to have. All these will create problems for your opponent from the back of their lineup.

Another synergy can possibly come from Blazebeard Merc whom have charge and at Level 3 having piercing. This is gonna be something crazy if there is more melee boost as this card will really cut through opponent armour and punish opponent heavily from the front. Even the like of Torch Vizier, Mad Ogre Anarchist are also gonna gain so much from the melee boost as the strike cards with their opportunity ability. And these are the obvious combos and synergies, but with Conclave Arcana, Bloodline mechanism will benefit Drakoshan bloodline when called upon by Dragon Summoner, Kavor Skarn.

So this card can even appear in a dragon lineup, so do not be surprised. Do also note that Dragon Egg Forager and Kei when boosted in melee is not an easy card to handle.

Rulesets
Ruleset that have magic reflect is a big no no for this card. As it will self destruct before doing even value. So avoid this at all cost. Whereas when there is melee mayhem, super sneak or equal opportunity, this is where Tashoshi truly shines and carry the team to punish your opponent harder.

Assessment
This card is quite decent but the cost of owning it is a little bit on the high side. I am not sure if Tasoshi will be a big hit in the meta or just something for the exclusive folks. Will have to monitor and see how things turn out. Should there be a need, a level 3 version will be the one that most will be aiming to get since that is where all the synergy happens. Do also note that, it cost 8 mana to use this card and can be a little costly when the available mana is a little tight.
