Community Engagement Challenge: Simple Yet Effective Card Combo - Giving Team Inspiration

Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's topic will be card combo once again. One of my favourite topics as I will be able to see what others also sharing with their combos. My sharing today will be a single card centric which helped the whole lineup to be effective.

Inspire
In today's sharing, it will revolve around inspire that brings advantage to my whole lineup.

The above card, Portly Cannoneer is the one that inspires everyone in the lineup. Inspire give +1 melee to all cards in the lineup with melee attack. This +1 might look just a mere +1, but in a lineup where there is sneak, opportunity and ambush, it can give you the advantage that you much need.

Let us move right into the match proper and use the match lineup to explain how this combo runs.

Mana: 22
Ruleset: Standard, no special ruleset.

Other than Ashen Cindergrim and Portly Cannoneer, everything else is a melee card and everyone of them will benefit from the inspire.

• Halfling Refugee which is the tank, will hit harder with 3 attack.
• Torch Vizier will also upgrade to 3 attack and is an opportunity card which can take out cards that is already weakened.
• Gobalano Soldier upgrades to 2 damage and the best thing is, it has ambush and can strike earlier before the match even started.
• Surly Drunk, a low mana opportunity card also upgrades to 2 damage and can also take out weakened opponent.

It might be just a +1 melee attack upgrade, you will how good this +1 is especially when we have the corresponding sneak, opportunity and ambush abilities in the lineup. That advantage will be very evident and important for us to land the victory we need.

Opponent selection include:
Cavewise Wayfinder whom also have ambush and is being selected to have synergy with Vicious Giraffe which is at position 2 with reach and painforge. Wayfinder during attack will cause damage to adjacent card and the painforge on the giraffe will improve its stats. Next will be Fenmoor Haunt with sneak and finally an Arachne Weaver for corrupted healing. My opponent also had a good combo intent with healing prepared, but will what he planned be enough to handle my inspired line up?

Let's heard right into the detailed round by round analysis.

Round 1, A fast and furious first round where we had 3 casualties already and thankfully bulk of it came from my opponent. The round started with opponent's Arachne Weaver already injured and Torch Vizier just took the opportunity and finished it off, no more healer on my opponent side. And further attacks allowed me to bring down Fenmoor Haunt but at the same time the frontal attack from my opponent was too much for Halfling Refugee to sustain even with the +2 armour from the Archon.

Round 2, The barrage continues as we see the attacks went towards the Giraffe which had lower health and Wayfinder bringing my Torch Vizier to 1 health. Victory is in our sights.

Round 3, Surprisingly Wayfinder missed Torch Vizier and both Torch Vizer and Gobalano struck to bring home the victory! No complex combo, just simple inspiration that elevated every melee card to unleash their inner strength.

Combo Discussion
If I did not have sneak, ambush or opportunity card in the lineup, the inspire from Portly Cannoneer might not be as effective. But when we put all these together, weaker cards get cleared fast as we then finally muster everyone together then unleash all the attacks towards what is remaining. Portly Cannoneer had been a great addition to the fire splinter as melee somehow is one of the better attack mode for fire splinter.
