Community Engagement Challenge: Be An Ambassador and Bring More Players

Prelude
Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's challenge is on the sharing of the ambassador program that Splinterlands offer. I think this is the perfect way to onboard many more players. Personally, this is a large step that the game has taken to give incentives to current players to bring in new players especially that we really need new players to fuel the game and get things moving. The program had been live for a few weeks now and I do hope we will get a steady rise to the number of active players.

Side note: There is also a free to play version where new players can experience the game before purchasing the spell book. Through both initiatives I do hope our community can once again build up to what we had during prime days.

This new initiative/Program can be found via top right corner settings button as shown below:

And from here, you will be able to see your status on how many referrals and how much earnings you've gained from the referrals.

For now, I have yet to make a successful referral into the game yet but rest assured I will do what I can to boost up the figures and add more to our Splinterlands community.

What Is This Ambassador Program About?
The Ambassador Program is a new initiative to reward existing Splinterlands players to refer new people to start playing Splinterlands. And this referral gives mutual benefit to both the existing player and also the new player.

There are currently 2 tiers for this Ambassador program.

Silver Tier

• You and your friends each earn 500 Credits when they purchase a Spellbook.
• Earn 5% of your friends’ end-of-season Glint rewards.

**Do note, the 500 credits is on top of the 3000 credits that is included in the spellbook purchase for new players. So instead of buying from scratch which only gives you 3000 credit, why not get 500 credit more to allow you to get more cards or even rent more cards to compete in higher leagues. This is such a good deal for new players and also give additional benefit/motivation to existing players.

Gold Tier
Requirement: 10 referrals who have each made at least $100 in purchases (including primary, secondary, or rental markets)

• Everything from Silver Tier
• Earn a 5% bonus on all packs your friends purchase.
• Earn 1% of your friends’ transactions on peer-to-peer markets.

Additional Clarity on some of the terms:

The referral will already be pre-filled and all the new player need is to fill up their username and email. Then voila, welcome to Splinterlands!

Using The Referral Link

For existing players, click on the copy link icon beside "My Link" on the ambassador page then share it with the people whom you want to onboard.

Leaderboard

There is also a leaderboard to see who are the people that are actively onboarding people into the game. Good work by some of them with as high as 13 referrals to date. I do hope I will be able to find my name on there as I continue to introduce the game to my circle of friends.

Wrap Up
I am really excited to see all these changes adopted by the Splinterlands team to get in more players. This gives confidence to existing players that the team is listening to the ground and understanding what the players need most. It is heartening to see how we are able to have programs that motivate onboarding and getting more players into the game. When I joined the game, I just joined by itself, but with an ambassador program that drives a win-win for both existing and new players, it certainly gives a strong magnet to bring in more players and once again ignite the passion of battling.
