Adapting to Modern: Prepare to Get More Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards Part 17

Prelude
Welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. In recent seasons, I have pushed harder in terms of gathering glint and also didn't want to wait till last minute then I started exchanging for Soul Bound reward cards. I do keep a little of glint in case I have some urgent purchases needed but otherwise, I have been trying to gather more cards especially in the recent EOS where I did some pulls for epic specific draws so that I can get more of those super strong epic cards into my collection early.

So when the season ended, I took a chunk of my earned glint and put them into doing 4 epic draws which cost me a total of 30k Glint. And here's what I gotten:

Not too bad isn't it? All of them are good are are able to make the lineup even at Level 1 though higher level would be much more desirable. I am so glad these are dropped as they can dramatically changed game outcomes. I still have a little Glint, probably gonna do some general pulls and see what I can get, who knows, maybe a legendary might appear or even see a jackpot prize

Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards

Today we will continue looking through another 2 new soul bound rewards card from Death Splinter of which both are rare cards and one them even have the Christmas skin for this season. So let's begin today's sharing.

Meriput Slinger

First card that we will look at today is the Meriput Slinger. This card brings about yet another nice ability that was only introduced with the soul bound reward cards. This ability when struck, will cause opponent card to reduce speed. Imagine having blast, you can effectively slow down 2 cards when the hit lands. This card is seriously the ambassador of slowness, not only does it impede you, it also gives slowness. To protect it from blast there is even reflection shield. The only one thing that I want to verify is that during redemption where this card deal 1 damage to everyone, will it cause everyone to slow down. But nevertheless, this is a card to allow you to hit faster and faster relatively and you get to strike before your opponent do. A valuable utility card to have for sure and definitely a good card for death splinter. Not forgetting that this card hits real hard at 4 damage at max.

Dark Arborist

Next card to look at will be yet another death splinter rare card, Dark Arborist. Interesting card that demoralizes melee attack and this essentially will be good ability to have against those pesky sneak attackers that always come in from the back. If you have Disintegrator in lineup, this is 2 together can effectively make backline attacks like scratching. When levelled up, this card gains magic reflect which is also good to return some favour back to your opponent. And final form, it will also gain void which is good to protect itself from massive magic attacks. Another utility card for death splinter. Somehow death splinter is a splinter that gives you a buffet worth of abilities for you to pick to give the best outcome for your lineup.

Assessment
My take and assessment will be that the two that is reviewed today, both of them are really useful and has very good use in various ruleset that need their abilities to give you advantage to the fullest. Selection will now become a headache, but having a headache selecting versus having not enough cards to even select, isn't that a bigger problem? I rather have a plethora of cards to choose than being stuck fielding cards that we know is not gonna give you advantage. So more is better especially for death.

In terms of rating, Meriput Slinger should be in the range 3.7/5 region for its hard hitting attacks and all the supplementary abilities to let you strike first, while Dark Aborist also has a good growth curve and can be very worthy to make melee folks struggle. Rating will be 3.5/5 for this card.

As I do up the review of various cards from various splinter, I continue to learn more about the cards and also help to share what I've learned about these cards to the community so that we can all know more about these cards.
