Adapting to Modern: Getting to Know Your Rebellion Core Set Part 11

Prelude
A brand new week has started and welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. Conclave Arcana is upon us in just 1 day and we definitely have to accelerate and keep up with understanding the Rebellion core set in terms of its capabilities and blending them together with the new set which has so much to new changes that will affect the new modern gameplay. I will continue sharing on 2 cards from the Rebellion Core set today as we embrace the arrival of Conclave Arcana really soon.

Rebellion Core Set Cards

Similar to the previous post for this series, we will begin discussing card from the Rebellion Core Set. Using a similar method when I reviewed the Soul Bound reward cards, I will be discussing about the growth of the cards and will give a simple review to whether or not investing into them will level up your game play or not. And let's continue our review and progressing into water splinter by looking at 2 of the rare cards from the Rebellion core set.

Endura Brune

The first water splinter epic card that we will reviewing today will be Endura Brune. Now that we are at legendary cards, we should be looking at whether these cards are really worth pursuing since they are of higher rarity and typically prices will be higher as well. Stats wise this card is awesome with a good amount of health and speed but with no improvement in term of attack. At level 1, honestly it is not exactly impressive as compared to higher evels where more practical abilitie will be added. Silence, headwinds and swiftness are great abilities and it is a pit that none of these are available at level 1 which makes the cost of ownership for this card a lot higher. And with this card coming in at 9 mana, it become tough to deploy this at lower mana matches especially this is a range attacker. Definitely this card is meant for probably bigger players and also on matches of higher mana availability.

Darg Deadblast

The next card we will look at will be Darg Deadblast. As compared to the other card that we see earlier, this is a card that is of a much worthy of getting. 2 magic attack at level 1 with weapons training is really great. Not only that, this card has swiftness already at level 1 which gives a good boost to the other cards in the lineup. As we progress up in terms of level, it even gain triage level 2 making it a really stronger card. This has all the making of a superb card where the abilities complement one another and do well. Could establish itself an array of strategy with non attacking card to form a strong lineup. I have been watching closely on this card but it is really very expensive. For sure I would want this card in my collection soon knowing how good it is.

Assessment
2 legendary cards, one looking very average while this other looks really good and give alot of versatility and various permutation to handle your enemies. Endura Brune I would say it is not exactly fantastic especially of high mana and stronger abilities only appear at levels affecting its usability as compared to Daarg Deadblast which is able to be already useful at level 1 and definitely a strong addition to the lineup and an upgrade to Moxian Rebel which is already a very strong card.

Rating wise for both the cards, I would say Endura Brune would probably score a rating of 3/5, the assessment for this card is not very high and with it being a range card, it is not likely going to give sufficiently good value with a high mana and might end up at front position very quickly. For Daarg Deadblast, the rating I would give will be a 4.3/5 stars for how this card is able to give non attackers 2 magic attack and comes with an array of good abilities for the lineup such as swiftness and triage which is really important. A definitely worthy addition just that the cost of it is a little on the high side. I've seen it on battlefield a couple of times, definitely not an easy one to fight against.

Wrap Up
I have started looking into the Rebellion core set cards that we need to start building up to prepare for the new set that will be coming in when Chaos Legion gets rotated out. I do hope that with the new set that will be launching soon, we can find back the vibrancy during the prime days where everyone was busy camping for cheap cards or scurrying through the rental market to get cheap rentals. Remember, if you are uncertain, there is training mode available for you to test these card out and try out how it can perform before purchasing or renting.
