Getting Higher Level Cards in Splinterlands by Combining Them

I hope that everyone is enjoying the Splinterlands every day. The game is becoming more stable thanks to its great community and committed creator team. In the Splinterverse, we have to learn about the skills, rules, and other fun parts of the game every day, as we get so many cards and strategies in the regular playing experience. I've been writing about Splinterlands since the middle of 2022 in my daily blogging section to enter the weekly community challenge. Now, as part of their weekly Challenge, I write at least two blogs about my journey with Splinterlands. As part of the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge," I'm writing this blog post today about "A Guide to Increasing Card Levels by Combining Cards." I will discuss the details, steps, and tips on combining cards in Splinterlands. I hope this will help you make your plan and strategies for making your decks stronger.

Why do we need to combine cards? The main reason is that increasing the level of your cards is one of the best ways to do better in Splinterlands battles and increase your win ratio. It will allow you more juicy rewards because cards with higher levels have stronger stats and powers, which enables them to defeat opponent cards in the battle. The only that you can level up cards is by combining them together. Card combination is the process of putting together several cards of the same to make one more powerful card. In Splinterlands, each card has a base level known as the BCX, and for different cards, you need to combine different numbers of BCX to level. Leveling up cards increases the card's stats, powers, and general usefulness in the battle.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Combining Cards
I am going to guide you with images of how to combine your cards. After logging into the game interface, you have to do the following things step by step.

• Click on "ITEMS" and then click on “CARDS.” Then, you will see your collection of cards, and you can see the number of copies in red marks. From the left side, you can select cards from the special edition to find your desired card faster.

• You can see all the cards you own in your collection. To level up a card, find it first. To combine cards, you need a certain number of the same card to increase a level, but you can combine any number with any number more than one. to level increment, you need a total number of BCX according to the rarity and editions. You can check the details by clicking the card and its STATS section.

• You can check the number of cards needed for a required level and how the stats are changed with the leveling up from here, as shown in the following image.

• The step is to pick the number of cards you want to combine. You can decide how many of that type of card to combine based on your number of cards. You can combine any number of cards you choose and even more than the number you need for the max version, which will add no benefit except increasing power.

• Once you've chosen your number of cards by clicking the boxes on the left side, hit the "Combine" button to finish.

• Then, you will get an interface before finalizing the finishing up, which will let you know the leveling-up progress of the card that you are going to combine.

• The interface will also let you know the next level or how many extra cards you need to combine to reach the next level. The interface is very handy to know the real statistics at a glance.

And finally, your card combination is done. If you are not logged in to your hive account, then you will have the interface with your browser extension to log in to your account.

Otherwise, your cards will be combined into a single card within a moment. Just see: I have my final card after the combination becomes like the following image.

Why do you need leveling-up cards?
Let’s talk about some info about why you need to combine cards in Splinterlands. Leveling up your cards gives you a number of important advantages, and some of the major advantages are as follows.

Better Stats: The card's health, strength, speed, and armor will grow with the leveling up of them. The number of attacks and abilities will also increase, which is very crucial for a monster to win more battles.

New Skills: All the cards get better as they level up. At level 1, for instance, a card might only have a basic number of attacks with or without ability. But by level 5, it might get a special ability and higher stats that make it more useful in some cases. They can build up new skills and strategies to do better in the battle.

Higher Win Ratio: The most important fact is that these higher-level cards will let you win more battles and increase your win ratio and rating. All of these will allow you to grab more SPS and more GLINT tokens as rewards. So, you can extend your decks with free reward cards and earn more SPS as a real value of rewards.

In conclusion, I want to say that you should decide which cards you want to level up first because not all of them are the same in the perspective of usefullness. Summoners are very important in battle because they define and apply abilities in the battle, so it is very important to level up your summoner cards first. This will make your deck better overall and give you a big advantage in battle. Then, you should level up those monsters that you use too frequently. For my case, I level up the Neutral monsters and then Dragon and Water, as I use them a lot. In rarity selection, if you can get a lot of common cards as they are cheap, try to combine them to get better results. Then, sequentially, Rare, Epic, and Legendary cards can be leveled up accordingly.
