I hope you all enjoy the game every day, like me. If you are not a Splinterlands player, then this post is for you. If you are hearing the name for the first time, then this post is also for you. Here, I am going to show you the complete step-by-step guidelines for opening a free account in Splinterlands and how to start playing this fantastic blockchain-based game with a lot of NFT cards in the Hive blockchain. This post is for complete beginners who haven't played the game for a second, and it will open a door for newcomers to the world of Splinterverse.

In this post, I will create a free Splinterlands account with a Gmail email address without buying the spellbook. Also, this post will show the step-by-step battle strategy and the ways to earn free GLINT tokens without a penny of investment. Also, I will show how a rebellion reward can be bought from the free-earned Glint tokens from the internal marketplace known as the Glint Shop. I hope it will be a primary guideline for the newcomers in the world of Splinterlands who want to enter into the game but don't know how to start playing the Splinterlands game.

Account Creation

Let's start with a Google search. The website of the game can be obtained by typing 'splinter lands' in the search bar. If you want to go to the game's website, then you can also click on this link. The next step you will find on the 1st page of the Splintelands site is as follows-

Here, a beautiful screen appears with the 'PLAY NOW' button, which is clicked to go to the registration page of the Splinterlands game.

This page is the login page, but as you will be here for the first time, you can click the registration button to start the free registration for the game.

A free account only needs registration, while a full gaming experience will be available after buying the Spellbook, which will provide a unique username and Hive account in the Hive blockchain. I will discuss the benefits of buying the Spellbook later. Before that, let's create a free account first to get the first introduction to the game.

In the registration interface, you must fill in the boxes with your intended username and email address. You must also accept the privacy policy and terms of services and complete the bot challenge before clicking the create password button, which will take you to the following interface.

After inputting your desired password, you have to meet the bot challenge again and click the register button. One more point, you must select a stronger password, including small and capital letters, numbers, and special signs.

After pressing the register button, the website will take you to the game interface. In the game interface, there will be a lot of options and buttons to click; let's find out them and know a little bit before entering into the first battle with this free account.

There will mainly be tutorial sections where you can go through the details of the battle process and then the league status of your ranking. Then on the right side the 'BATTLE' button that is the button to enter into the battle.

In the following sections, the status of your glint token balance and the button to enter the glint shop to buy many assets for doing better in the overall game. and at the bottom, there is a button to buy the Spellbook.

The first battle

After you tour the tutorial, it is time for our first battle; let's enter by clicking the 'BATTLE' button in the main interface of the free account.

After clicking the 'battle' button, the first interface will appear, and the next transitional interface will be as below, with the title "Searching for the enemy."

Also, at the bottom of the interface, there is a button to cancel the match for any emergency cases.

The next interface will appear automatically if an opponent is found, and this interface is also very important for the next step.

In the first row, the latest 5 battle info of the enemy team is shown, from which some battle strategy info of the enemy team can be learned for selecting the battle strategy accordingly.

At the bottom, the battle rulesets and the MANA cost are placed on the left side, and the available splinter team is shown on the right side. Finally, the surrender button and the create team button are available, which is the button for creating our team for the battle.

After clicking the create team, the first interface will appear for the summoners selection, which will lead your teams from the fire, water, earth, life and death splinter teams.

As a free account, all the summoners are from the starter cards from each splinter, each from the Chaos Legion edition. For more summoners, you must buy the Spellbook and vast collections of summoners from these splinter dragons and neutral teams.

After selecting the summoner in the previous interface, the next interface will come with the Available monsters. As a free player, these cards are also from the starter cards, which are limited numbers.

After selecting cards, the 'battle' on the top left will be the next button to start the final stage of the battle. Other stuff to be noted here is the different types of attacks, including the MELEE, RANGED, and MAGIC attacks, with the MANA numbers placed on the top row for a faster selection of your cards when you have a large collection of cards.

The main battle interface will appear with the two teams and their card info. There will be two buttons to start the 'BATTLE' and watch it step by step. Also, the 'SKIP BATTLE' button allows you to skip watching and get the result instantly.

After the battle is finished or skipping the battle, the battle result interface will appear instantly, showing your rewards and trophy rating information.

The battle results interface shows my winning result, which was 20 trophies and 33 free glint tokens. I didn't get the SPS reward, which requires buying a Spellbook.

There are also some benefits from the Spellbook and staking of SPS that need to create a Hive account first, which will be done through the Spellbook purchase.

In addition to the full gaming experience, the purchase of Spellbook offers some excellent offers, like 3000 credits and 30 days of battle reward boost.

Buying the 1st Rebellion reward card from the Glint shop

I have fought several battles with my free account to accumulate the number of glint tokens in my account to buy my 1st reward card from the shop that offers a lot of assets to buy at different prices.

When enough Glint tokens are available, the color of the buy button will be available right now.

When I click the buy button on the 'COMMON DRAW', which is the cheapest one.

After clicking it, the next interface will come to confirm the purchase.

Finally, the option to reveal my common card appeared. It is a normal foil card, and it can now be used in any battle.

Thus, a free account can be used to play the game and grab as many rewards cards as possible, with free glint rewards after each battle win.
