I've been trying my best each season to get as much glint as I can and trade it all for major chests. I've had some success using this method and I now have a small collection of reward cards. But I haven't really explored yet all the abilities and max level potential of these cards. I've just entered a ghost card modern tournament and I've had a chance to try out different Rebellion cards. But there's one card that stood out to me, Quilliun Legionary.
At first glance, Quilliun Legionary has a strange combination of abilities. It has close range and a large health. This makes it a good monster for the secondary position in case the tank dies. And upon reaching level two and level four, two new defensive abilities are unlocked, thorns and void, making it a strong defender against melee and magic attacks. But what really sets it apart from the rest is the final ability it learns once it reaches level eight. It unlocks bloodlust. And for the new Rebellion card collection, there are only two monsters with bloodlust, Quilliun Legionary and Argarux Magus. At max level, Quilliun's lineup position can be changed to the last slot, hoping that it can kill a couple enemy monsters early on.
Summoner
As of now, I believe Risqruel Drath is the best summoner option for Quilliun. It gives an increase in ranged damage which Quillium really needs if it stands a chance to activate the bloodlust. Giving it true strike and the new ability, impede.
Support Units
Now it in terms of other monsters that has good synergy with Quilliun, there are two earth units that is in my radar. First of them is Lord Thanalor.
The upcoming shakeup in the modern meta is still half a year away and the strategies are still limited to what cards are currently available. There are still lots of upcoming promo cards and voucher cards. But I'm convinced that Quilliun Legionary will be a significant piece of the new modern and I am now shifting my glint purchases from major chests to rare draws to try and max it out early.
