We've just entered the new year, 2025, and things have been looking good so far. A number of positive events happened just in the past few days. First off, Hive has suddenly experienced a significant pump.

From an almost flatline in the 30-cent range, it shot to 65 cents and now sits in the 50-cent level. This also pushes other Hive-based tokens upward, especially SPS which is now nearing one cent again. Hopefully, this puts more confidence to investors and entice them to buy and stake more SPS.

Another good news is that the game received recognition for being the second best card game in the PlaytoEarn Game Awards. This will definitely boost the popularity of Splinterlands in the blockchain community.

The team was also generous enough to celebrate this win by temporarily boosting glint earnings for this season. I've been trying to grab this opportunity and so far I've received around 50,000 glint in total. The soulbound reward cards that we earn from reward chests may be not crucial to the current modern but once Chaos Legion leaves in a few months, these will be very important. This is why collecting them while we still have plenty of time is necessary.

Finally there's the expected launch of Conclave Arcana. I think it's safe to assume that everyone's betting on the success of the launch of this new card set. It also coincides with the highly anticipated bull run of 2025. Should Conclave Arcana's sales numbers result in success, this will most likely trigger the SPS flywheel. And an ever increasing value of SPS would generate more interest in the play to earn aspect of Splinterlands.

We've endured years of bearish market sentiments and this year may be the moment that we finally overcome it. We just have to keep our hopes up and hold on a little longer. I am very optimistic that 2025 will be a year of abundance for those who support Splinterlands.
