I've been into many crypto gaming projects throughout various blockchains, some successful and a lot more fails. But among them, I've found out something unique to Splinterlands and the Hive blockchain. What I'm referring to is the ability to build your assets in the game without having to shed out your own capital. And this is done through the wonderful process of Hive posting.

I've been doing Hive posts on and off for a few years now. It allowed me to gain a few dollars worth of Hive each week simply by creating and posting articles. Of course there still are guidelines to follow like making sure that you have quality content and that it is all original.

And the payoff is totally worth it for me. I mainly focus my efforts in submitting Splinterlands related articles and there are many generous community members who regularly upvote my articles.

You can submit up to two entries for the Splinterlands challenges per week. And this is not limited to just talking about gameplay. There is also an artwork submission where you can showcase your artistic take on the characters of the game.

An example of a submission is this very article that I am currently writing. It is for the community engagement challenge where players share their tips for new players. Posting on Hive is especially helpful for beginners as they can get acquainted to the community and get starting capital to grow their collection. At the very least, you can have enough to pay for your weekly rental budget. After a while, when you get the hang of it, you can make a daily blog, not just in Splinterlands but in other Hive communities as well. The themes can range from movies, to travel, food, etc. Whatever your hobbies are, I'm sure there's a community that will welcome you.

And from there, you can slowly build assets like cards, SPS tokens, and even land. Personally, I've gained a couple thousand SPS just from Hive posts as well as land plots. This side of the game is often overlooked by players who just want to play. But even if the pay is small, it gets into a significant amount over time. And this is the perfect time to build assets, especially in SPS tokens, as the market is still at a low point and the bull market is in the horizon.
