What are the main Splinterlands tokens like? (SPS)

SPS | Based on data compiled by Splintercards regarding the rewards pool, we can see that the amount allocated to Lands is currently a little over 5x greater than the amount allocated to Ranked. The detail is that in Ranked, this reward is split between two game modes: Wild and Modern, which further reduces the winnings. Staking falls somewhere in between, but since there's a large amount of $SPS in Stake 980 million, a significant amount will be required to secure a significant share of the SPS staking rewards.

Another interesting fact is that the DAO has a significant amount of SPS available for future reward rounds, but it may not be enough for the long term. It's important to analyze ways to maintain constant reserve levels. Finally, we can observe that SPS tokens are spread across three main networks: Hive Engine, Ethereum, and BSC.

Looking at the SPS price chart over the last three months, we saw a significant increase around the launch of the new Splinterlands set, Arcane. However, after the hype surrounding the new cards, the SPS price began to decline, dropping from its peak of $0.14 and a period of stability around $0.01 to now reach $0.007, less than 1 cent per token. The game has been modernizing its design, adding new modes and new collections, but so far its token hasn't reflected the changes.

DEC | When we talk about DEC, we're referring to the token the company accepts, even when lower, at a ratio of $1 = 1000 DEC. In other words, it's the game's stable when it comes to ecosystem items. For some, DEC may even be more prominent than SPS itself, due to its many uses. It's used in marketplaces to purchase cards and items, used as LP in the voucher merchant, and used to pay for the Wild Pass—in other words, it has many uses.

However, as its value is tied to players' interest in acquiring more items, just as happened with SPS when the Arcane Conclave hype died down, DEC's price took a hit. Its PEG, which hadn't reached $1 per 1,000 DEC for some time, managed to hold steady for a while during the initial sales, as there was high demand. However, we've seen a drop of $0.10 in this ratio in recent days, falling below $0.90.

Both tokens are connected, as when the SPS price rises significantly, players burn the token, converting it to DEC, so their movements are similar. Now, it remains for the game's changes to be reflected in its main tokens and, subsequently, in other assets. I don't know if the voucher would count as one of the main tokens after it became soul-bound, but as a final curiosity, unlike the SPS and DEC, its price has remained fairly constant, between $0.025 and $0.03. There was a significant spike, which likely occurred when the new Tasoshi Drakamoto card was released, which cost a significant amount of vouchers to acquire in the Splinterlands exclusives store.

SPS | Com base nos dados compilados pelo Splintercards, com relação a pool de recompensas, temos que hoje a quantidade destina para Lands é um pouco mais de 5x maior que a quantidade destinada para a Ranked, com o detalhe de que nas rankeds essa recompensa é dividida entre dois modos de jogo Wild e Modern, o que reduz ainda mais os ganhos. Já o Staking fica no meio termo, mas como há uma grande quantidade de $SPS em Stake 980 milhões, para conseguir uma fatia considerável de SPS de recompensa do Staking, será necessário ter uma quantidade relevante.

Outro dado interessante é que a DAO tem uma boa quantidade de SPS disponível para futuras rodadas de recompensas, mas pode não ser suficiente para o longo prazo, sendo interessante analisar formas de manter os níveis de reserva constantes. Por fim, podemos observar que os tokens SPS estão espalhados em 3 redes principais Hive Engine, Ethereum e BSC.

Já ao observar o gráfico do preço do SPS nos últimos 3 meses, tivemos uma alta expressiva próxima ao lançamento da nova coleção do Splinterlands, a Arcane, mas depois desse hype das novas cartas, o preço do SPS começou a cair, saindo do seu Pico de $0,14 e momento de estabilidade por volta do $0,01, para chegar agora à 0,007, menos de 1 centavo por token. O jogo tem modernizado o seu design, adicionado novos modos, novas coleções, mas até então seu token não tem refletido as mudanças.

DEC | Quando falamos de DEC, estamos falando do token que a empresa aceita, mesmo quando abaixo, na proporção $1 = 1000 DEC, ou seja, é a stable do jogo quando o assunto são itens do ecossistema. O DEC para alguns pode ser até mais protagonista do que o próprio SPS, por suas diversas utilidades. Ele é usado nos marketplaces para adquirir cartas e itens, usado como LP no mercador de vouchers, é nele que o Wild Pass é pago, ou seja, muitos usos.

Entretanto, como seu valor é atrelado ao interesse dos jogadores em adquirir mais itens, assim como aconteceu com o SPS, quando passou o hype do arcane conclave, o preço do DEC sofreu um impacto. Seu PEG que há tempos não alcançava os $1 por 1000 DEC conseguiu se manter por um tempo durante as vendas iniciais, já que havia muita procura, entretanto, já vemos uma queda de $0,10 nessa proporção nos últimos dias estando abaixo de $0,90.

Ambos os tokens estão conectados, já que quando o SPS sobe muito, os jogadores queimam o token o transformando em DEC, por isso seus movimentos são semelhantes. Resta agora que as mudanças no jogo reflitam nos seus principais tokens e posteriormente nos demais ativos. Não sei se o voucher contaria como um dos principais tokens depois de que ele virou soul-bound, mas como curiosidade final, diferente do SPS e do DEC seu preço tem se mantido bem constante, entre $0,025 e $0,03. Houve uma grande subida que provavelmente foi quando lançou a nova carta Tasoshi Drakamoto, que custava uma boa quantidade de vouchers para adquirir na loja de exclusivos do Splinterlands.
