Splinterlands Tournaments - Conclave & Ascension

In Splinterlands there is a "game mode" called tournaments, in which the SPS DAO itself creates some tournaments and a detail for those who are not familiar with it is that each of them has its own staked SPS and card power requirements for players to participate.

A few weeks ago I was taking a look at the tournaments available to participate in at Splinterlands and one of them caught my attention. The tournament in question was the Scarred Hand Novice Cup, everything seemed right in terms of requirements, but there was another detail...

In addition to the requirements, tournaments usually have some limitations regarding the type of card, with some only allowing the use of gold foil cards during matches, but that was not the problem encountered, because the tournament was for all foils.

If it wasn't a problem of requirements or rarity, what was it? Tournaments have a limitation on the sets allowed to be used during matches and in this case you could only use cards from the arcane conclave collection. I even have some, but I didn't have a summoner...

Splinterlands Tournaments - Conclave & Ascension

It turned out that the moment I was taking a look at the tournaments was precisely the moment I was looking for some new strategy to use in survival mode, because until then I was basically using the water summoner with mages.

At that moment I noticed that it would be possible to make an interesting combo with the Dwarfs for survival and also to participate in tournaments that only allowed cards from the arcane conclave collection such as Scared Hands, which I believe is intended precisely for cards from more recent collections, which end up being more expensive than the older ones and that's why some players are afraid to pay this extra, generating the name Scared Hands.

The current combo for this tournament and for survival is the summoner Fithe Bladestone, which guarantees shield for all cards and void for dwarfs, making them very resistant to any type of opponent, a characteristic that is also observed in fiction.

Then, the second pillar of the strategy is Swift Beard Stout, which is always available as it has the fire element. Then, depending on the occasion, I use Sten Slatehelm because it has great statuses, as does Time bandit. I would like to evolve swiftbeard to lv2, but I'm still waiting for a good price, because I got a great discount for this lv1.

An additional detail within the theme of tournaments is that there is the Ascension Tournament that took place this week, in which the top 25 of all brackets (if I'm not mistaken) can participate in this tournament. The prize pool depends on the final placement, but it is generally possible to get an extra 30k glint in the season, and for those who are very good, the prize in glint can reach 300k.

Taking advantage of the bracket testing event in survival mode taking place, you have already participated in the event and at the same time can now qualify for the Ascension Tournament. The description states that there are 256 slots, but generally there are around 100 to 120 players, which could mean that there are some brackets that have places left to participate in the event.

An interesting detail is that in this specific event, several sets are available, and the level of the cards is max level. In it, all players play with the same cards available, making it an interesting option for intermediate players to test strategies.

No Splinterlands tem um "modo de jogo" chamado torneios, em que a própria SPS DAO cria alguns torneios e um detalhe para quem não está familiarizado é que cada um deles tem os seus requisitos próprios de SPS em stake e de poder de cartas para que os jogadores possam participar.

Há algumas semanas eu estava dando uma olhada nos torneios disponíveis para participar no Splinterlands e um deles me chamou atenção. O torneio em questão era o Scarred Hand Novice Cup, parecia tudo certo com relação aos requisitos, mas tinha um outro detalhe...

Além dos requisitos os torneios costumam tem algumas limitações com relação ao tipo de carta, com alguns só permitindo utilizar cartas gold foil durante as partidas, mas que não foi o problema encontrado, porque o torneio era para todas as foils.

Se não era um problema de requisitos, nem de raridade qual era? Os torneios tem uma limitação no sets permitidos para usar durante as partidas e nesse caso só podia utilizar as cartas da coleção conclave arcana. Eu até tenho algumas, mas não tinha um summoner...

Acabou que o momento que eu estava dando uma olhada nos torneios foi justamente o momento em que estava buscando alguma estratégia nova para usar no survival mode, porque até então eu estava utilizando basicamente o summoner de água com magos.

Nesse momento eu notei que seria possível fazer um combo interessante com os Dwarfs para o survival e também para participar de torneios que permitissem apenas cartas da coleção conclave arcana como o Scared Hands, que acredito ser destinado justamente para as cartas de coleções mais recentes, que acabam sendo mais caras do que as mais antigas e por isso alguns jogadores tem medo de pagar esse extra, gerando o nome Scared Hands.

Atual o combo para esse torneio e para o survival é o summoner Fithe Bladestone, que garante shield para todas as cartas e void para os dwarfs, deixando eles bem resistentes para qualquer tipo de oponente, uma característica que é observada também na ficção.

Em seguida, o segundo pilar da estratégia é o Swift Beard Stout, que sempre está disponível por ser do elemento fogo. Depois dependendo da ocasião uso o Sten Slatehelm porque ter ótimos status, o Time bandit também. Gostaria de evoluir o swiftbeard para o lv2, mas continuo aguardando um bom preço, porque esse lv1 consegui um ótimo desconto.

Um detalhe adicional dentro do tema de torneios é que existe o Ascension Tournament que ocorreu essa semana, em que o top 25 de todos os brackets (se eu não estiver enganado) podem participar desse torneio. A premiação depende da colocação final, mas geralmente é possível conseguir uns 30k glint extras na season, e para quem for muito bom, pode chegar à 300k a premiação em glint.

Aproveitando que está acontecendo o evento de teste de brackets no survival mode, você já participado do evento e ao mesmo tempo já consegue se qualificar para o Ascension Tournament. Na descrição aparece que tem 256 slots, mas geralmente está aparecendo por volta de 100 à 120 jogadores, o que pode significar que há alguns brackets que ficam com vagas sobrando para participar do evento.

Um detalhe interessante é que nesse evento em específico, diversos sets estão disponíveis, e o nível das cartas é max level. Nele todos os jogadores jogam com as mesmas cartas disponíveis, sendo uma opção interessante para os jogadores intermediários testarem estratégias.
