Splinterlands - Extra Card in EOS Reward!
This time I ended up taking a little longer than usual to make the EOS rewards post for Splinterlands, but here we are... Interestingly, the last season, I don't know if the reason was because it was combined with part of the rewards from the previous season, but the amount of Glint seems to have increased.

Increase in Glint?
This is a detail I'd like to understand the reason for, because even with the constant improvements to the reward cards, it wouldn't justify the large increase in the amount of glint. I wonder if something happened to the number of players perhaps. Previously, it was possible to analyze the player count data on Peakmonsters, but currently only the data for the last month appears, while the data for 3 months and 6 months shows "Loading Splinterlands Dashboard" without a response. I don't know if it's some kind of bug, but it would be interesting to have access to this information...
As many users responsible for decision-making should know, access to information is fundamental to making the most correct decision possible. I believe that knowing the number of players over the years is one of the important variables for everyone who plays the game to know, because it influences several aspects of the ecosystem. The first is liquidity; the more players, the greater the liquidity in the game's assets, since more players will be buying and selling cards and other assets on the market.
In addition, game mechanics are also affected by the number of players, such as queue times, since it is necessary to match players of similar skill levels. The fewer players, the longer it will take to find a match, and the worse the matchmaking may be, since there isn't a large pool of players. Adding bots is a way to initially solve this, but in a game, fun is a fundamental factor, and I believe that players shouldn't want to be fighting against bots.
EOS Rewards
First of all, go to the store to see the new items. As I mentioned in a previous post, the new item this month is the Eggstravaganza event, which added some "Pastel" skins, with the Ulundin Overseer skin already guaranteed. I believe there has been a change to the Loot chests, with the possibility of winning something related to the event since their appearance has been altered to an Easter theme. But before getting into the new items, let's first secure the Merits from the first batch. In this Batch 1, the cost-benefit ratio is the best possible: 200 glint for 200 merits. Therefore, 10 x 200 = 2000 merits added.
Now, taking advantage of the event, I'm going to do a test with 100 Minor Chests, opening them 20 at a time. If there are any interesting items, I'll report them here. The first opening yielded 2 rare cards, 6 common cards, and 1 common scroll. The second opening was a little better in terms of cards, with 3 rare cards and 7 common cards, but no scrolls. The third opening was the best so far, with 3 rare cards, 1 common scroll, and 9 common cards.
Finally, I'm going to open the remaining 40... And I got a different card that I hadn't seen before. The card is called Shadowcomb Duskrose, a dual element fire and death card, costing 8 mana. The rest was even worse with only 4 rares and 10 commons. I checked and this Shadowcomb card is an Extra, meaning it's rarer than the reward cards, but its estimated price is only $0.08. Due to its high mana cost and lack of truly impactful abilities, it probably isn't a very commonly used card, hence its reduced price. One positive aspect is that the Charge ability allows her to attack from anywhere, and in battles with rules that only allow melee attacks, this can be very useful.
Dessa vez acabei demorando um pouco mais que o normal para fazer o post de recompensas da EOS do Splinterlands, mas aqui estamos... A última season curiosamente, não sei se o motivo foi porque juntou com parte das recompensas da season anterior à ela, mas a quantidade de Glint parece ter aumentado.

Aumento no Glint?
Esse é um detalhe que eu gostaria de entender o motivo, porque mesmo com as melhorias constantes nas cartas de recompensa não justificaria a grande subida na quantidade de glint, me pergunto se algo aconteceu com a quantidade de jogadores talvez. Como muitos usuários responsáveis pela tomada de decisão devem saber, o acesso à informação é fundamental para tomar a decisão mais correta possível. Acredito que saber o número de jogadores ao longo dos anos é uma das variáveis importantes para todos que jogam o jogo saber, porque influência em diversos pontos do ecossistema. O primeiro é a liquidez, quando mais jogadores maior será a liquidez nos ativos do jogo, já que mais players estarão comprando e vendo cartas e outros assets no market.
Além disso, mecânicas dentro do jogo também são afetadas pela quantidade de jogadores, como por exemplo o tempo de fila, já que é necessário ocorrer um match de jogadores de nível próximo. Quanto menos jogadores, mais tempo será necessário para encontrar uma partida e piores poderão ser as matchmakings feitas já que não há uma grande pool de jogadores. Adicionar bots é uma forma de resolver inicialmente, mas em um jogo, a diversão é um fator fundamental e acredito que os jogadores não devem querer ficar lutando contra bots.
Recompensas de EOS
O primeiro de tudo é ir na loja ver as novidades. Como eu mencionei em um conteúdo anterior, a novidade nesse mês é o evento de Eggstravaganza que adicionou algumas skins "Pastel", sendo que a do Ulundin Overseer já está garantida. Acredito que houve uma mudança nos baús Loot chests com a possibilidade de ganhar algo relacionado ao evento já que a aparência deles foi alterada para um visual de páscoa. Mas antes de entrar nas novidades, vamos primeiro de tudo garantir os Merits do primeiro batch. Nesse Batch 1 o custo benefício é o melhor possível, 200 glint por 200 merits. Agora aproveitando o evento vou fazer um teste com 100 baús Minor chest, abrindo de 20 em 20. Se houver algum item interessante eu reporto aqui. Na primeira abertura vieram 2 cartas raras, 6 comuns e 1 common scroll. A segunda abertura veio um pouco melhor com relação as cartas, sendo 3x Rare e7 commons, mas sem nenhum scroll. A terceira abertura foi a melhor até o momento, com 3x cartas raras, 1 common scroll e 9x common.
Por fim, vou abrir as 40 restantes... E veio uma carta diferente que eu não vi até então. A carta se chama Shadowcomb Duskrose, uma dual element de fogo e death, de 8 de mana. De resto foi até pior com 4 raras e 10x comuns apenas. Fui conferir e essa carta Shadowcomb é uma Extra ou seja mais raras que as de recompensa, mas seu preço estimado está $0,08 apenas. Pelo alto custo de mana e falta de habilidades realmente impactantes não deve ser uma carta muito utilizada por isso o preço reduzido dela. Um ponto positivo é que a habilidade Charge permite com que ela ataque de qualquer lugar e em batalhas de regras que só podem entrar em campo melees ela poderá ser bem utilizada.
