AMORENDEL: Everything you’ll Need to Know!
Come discover everything you need to know about the upcoming event in Splinterlands, AMORENDEL! To celebrate Valentine's Day, Amorendel is coming, completely changing the game's UI, adding a new background to the battle arena and a new modifier called Hey Jealousy where units will attack units with the most HP (likely tanks). The New Sweetheart Skins are Coming!
When a big event, like Valentine's Day, arrives in Splinterlands, it's become quite common for the game's design team to create some kind of collection related to the theme; we've seen this happen with Halloween and Christmas events, for example. This time, to celebrate Valentine's Day, we have the Amorendel "Sweetheart" skin collection, with a total of 10 cards receiving these new versions.
The cards selected this time differ from previous events in their collection. While past events featured a wide variety of card collections, this time only Conclave cards will be included in these card versions. I believe this isn't the best strategy for the team, as it completely limits access to Modern players, since Conclave cards are mostly used by Modern players. This means they lose potential customers who have cards from other collections or who aren't familiar with Conclave cards, which are the most recent additions to the game.
Analyzing the old data, the cards that had the highest sales volume were cards from past collections or basic cards that were widely used by players. One detail is that in addition to the Sweetheart versions, there will also be cards in the Obsessive versions. A total of 100 skins in this version will be available to obtain in ultimate chests starting February 1st.
Regarding these limited skins, I think the number could be a little higher; only 100 units is very little for a player base of about 5000 players. Also, looking at the announcement post, the team failed to present the design of these "rare" skins. I, at least, didn't find any information about the artwork in the post, and I believe this could cause potential players to stop searching for these cards because they don't have information about what the skin will look like.
New Amorendel Skins for Avatars
In addition to card skins, with the arrival of Avatars to Splinterlands, it seems we can now expect clothing skins for avatars. This Amorendel update will add 3 new outfits; the first is the heart-shaped shades, which will cost 5000 glint or 500 dec. Next, we have the two outfits: Elegant Top and Broken-Heart Top. The latter is twice the price of the former, intended for players seeking more exclusivity.
I personally liked the Broken-Heart Top skin; among the available options, I found it to be the most "top" skin. If it were more affordable, I would consider it. Just like they did with the card skins, I believe a wider variety with cheaper options around 2k glint would be a good way for low-ranked players with little glint to get some skins for their avatars.
This focus on skins seems to me one of the biggest successes the Splinterlands team has made in recent years, because they end up taking advantage of the existing demand from players to create new ways to burn Glint tokens and now DEC as well. This addition of avatar skins will be another way to help the game's economy and please the community at the same time. I hope they'll later provide an overview of how the avatar skin sales went.

As Novas Skins Sweetheart estão chegando!
Quando um grande evento, como o dias dos namorados, chega ao Splinterlands, está sendo bem comum que a equipe de design do jogo crie algum tipo de coleção relacionado ao tema, já vimos acontecer nos eventos de Halloween e Natal, por exemplo. Dessa vez, para celebrar a chegada do dia dos namorados, temos a coleção de skins chamadas Amorendel “Sweetheart”, com um total de 10 cartas que vão receber essas novas versões.
As cartas selecionadas dessa vez tem uma diferença para os eventos anteriores que é a coleção. Enquanto nos eventos passados, houve uma grande diversidade de coleções de cartas, dessa vez só cartas conclave vão participar dessas versões de cartas. Acredito que essa não seja a melhor estratégia para a equipe, porque acabou limitando completamente aos jogadores do modern, já que as cartas conclave são utilizadas na maior parte por quem joga no modern. Com isso, eles perdem toda a demanda dos jogadores que tem cartas de outras coleções, ou que não está familiarizado com as cartas conclave que são as mais recentes do jogo.
Analisando os dados antigos, as cartas que tiveram a maior quantidade de vendas, foram cartas de coleções passadas ou cartas básicas muito utilizadas pelos jogadores. Um detalhe é que além das versões Sweetheart, haverão também as cartas nas versões Obsessive. Um total de 100 skins nessa versão vão por ser conquistadas nos baús ultimatea partir de 1 de fevereiro.
Sobre essas skins limitadas, acho que o número poderia ser um pouco maior, apenas 100 unidades é muito pouco para uma playerbase de uns 5000 jogadores, e observando o post de anúncio faltou o time apresentar o design dessas skins "raras", eu pelo menos não encontrei como vai ser a arte dessas skins no post e acredito que isso possa fazer com que potenciais jogadores deixem de ir à busca dessas cartas por não ter a informação de como será a skin.
Novas Skins Amorendel para os Avatares
Além das skins para as cartas, com a chegada dos Avatares ao Splinterlands, parece que agora vamos poder esperar por skins de vestimenta para os avatares. Nessa atualização do Amornedel serão adicionados 3 novas roupas, o primeiro é o heart shaped shades que será 5000 glint ou 500 dec. Em seguida temos as duas roupas Elegant top e Broken-Heart Top, onde a segunda é o dobro do preço da primeira, destinada para os jogadores que buscam mais exclusividade.
Eu particularmente gostei achei, dentre as opções disponíveis a skin Broken-Heart Top, a skin mais "top", se fosse mais acessível eu consideraria. Assim como eles fizeram com as skins de cartas, acredito que uma variedade maior e com opções mais baratas por volta de 2k glint seria uma boa forma de jogadores de rankings baixos e com pouco glint conseguir alguns skins para os seus avatares.
Esse foco em skins me parece um dos maiores acertos que a equipe do splinterlands fez nos últimos anos, porque eles acabamaproveitando a demanda já existente dos jogadores, para criar novas formas de queimar os tokens Glint e agora o DEC também. Essa adição agora com skins para os avatares vai ser mais uma forma de ajudar a economia do jogo e agradar a comunidade ao mesmo tempo, espero que eles façam depois um panorama de como foram as vendas das skins de avatar.
