WEEKLY CARD FEATURE: THE TANKS AND THE HEALERS

Hello, Splinterlands Community !

Today is the 3rd CARD FEATURE and so far, it is doing great. There are only 1 suggestion per post (but that's okay, I know it will get better as time goes by), thanks to @gaared16, for supporting this segment of my blog.

For this week's post, the cards that will be feature are:

• RIVER NYMPH
• DISINTEGRATOR
• GOBLIN PSYCHIC

and for the card that has the potential to be powerful when it level up is:

• LIVING LAVA

Other things that we are going to talked about are:

• CURRENT STATUS OF THESE CARDS (UNDERRATED, OVERRATED, OR JUST IN ITS PROPER STATE)

These four cards can be a force to be wreck on with and can potentially be a great asset for this game.

Every cards in Splinterlands are unique and different to each other. Each card has a role in the battle and this depends on how deep the player's understanding on these cards. With that, to help other players, I decided to create a card feature to help other players understanding the cards, especially the starter cards. So with that, let's start.

THE FEATURE CARDS OF THE WEEK

The first card in the list was suggested by @gaared16, and it is the RIVER NYMPH.

RIVER NYMPH is a Rare Water Monster with Cleanse ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can remove all the negative effects on the monster that is positioned as your tank. This is pretty helpful on negating the abilities that might ruin your strategy in the battle. This card has 1 magic attack, 2 speed, and 3 lives.

• MARKET PRICE OF THE CARD

In the in-game card sale in Splinterlands, the current cheapest price of the Level 1 RIVER NYMPH is $0.19. In credits, it is 190 credits and in Dark Energy Crystal, it is 59.388 DEC. Also, I checked the PeakMonster, MonsterMarket, and CardAuctionz. All of them offers the same price but I suggest to buy in CardAuctionz because there is 1.84 DEC cashback if you buy it on thIS market.

• STRATEGY FOR THIS CARD

We can consider RIVER NYMPH as one of the card that has low life and that is a worry. With that, we can never place this card on the first position. Also, placing this card in this position will be a waste of ability for this card. When using this card, I suggest to use it in the middle up to the last position. Its ability to remove the negative effects on the first position monster is too important to win the game. Its ability can negate the Poison, Demoralize, and other negative effects done by the opponent. Positioning this in the middle up to the last position will maximize its ability. We do not need to worry about it being the in the last position because there are only some monster that has Sneak ability, especially to the starter pack.

• CURRENT STATUS OF THE CARD

By comparing the overall characteristics of this card to its current market price, I can say that it is just in its proper state. I think its market price reflects on the characteristics of this card. It has great ability and has speed and life that we can somehow depend on battle. Also, this card has a magic attack. As we all know, magic attacks are difficult to resist and only an ability can resist that attack. But we cannot deny that it can only create small damage in that battle. Despite on all of its great quality, its capability to create huge damage in the battle is an issue.

The second card that is lined up for the feature is the DISINTEGRATOR.

DISINTEGRATOR is a Common Neutral Monster with Demoralize ability. Monsters with this kind of ability reduces the melee attack of the opponent's monsters. This kind of ability is vital for the game, especially if the monsters that you are battling has very high melee attack. This card has 2 melee attacks, 1 speed, 2 shields, and 5 lives.

• MARKET PRICE OF THE CARD

In the in-game market of the card, we can see that it is only $0.07. In credits, it is 70 credits and in DEC it is 22.152 DEC. This card is a Common Monster and I think that is the reason why it is so cheap. In other market, it has all the same price, but in CardAuctionz there is 0.69 DEC cashback.

• STRATEGY FOR THIS CARD

This card has tank quality. It has the potential to be placed on the first position. But I highly suggest to not place it in the first position. I suggest to position this card always in the last position. In high mana cap, there will be monsters that has high melee damage and that is a threat. To lessen the threat, the ability of DISNINTEGRATOR should take over. To maximize its ability, position it in the back. Also, with its shield and life, it can definitely resist the attacks made by the monsters with Sneak ability. By following this, your chance of winning every battle could be elevated.

• CURRENT STATUS OF THE CARD

By comparing the market price of this card and the overall characterisitcs it possess, we can say that this card is very underrated. This card has the ability to make the opponent monster's damage turn into zero. This monster has an average melee damage and an impressive defensive state but yet, its market price is too low to match up with its ability. If there is an issue to this card, its the speed of the monster. But I do not think that that reason is enough to make it not very valuable in the market. On the other hand, its cheapness is a good thing for beginners.

The third card lined up to be feature is the GOBLIN PSYCHIC.

GOBLIN PSYCHIC is a Common Earth Monster with Tank Heal ability. Monsters with this kind of ability heals the first position cards. This is very helpful to the game since most of the tanks in the game has their own unique abilities. This card has 2 magic attacks, 1 speed, and 3 lives.

• MARKET PRICE OF THE CARD

Currently, the in-game price of this monster is $0.22. In credits, it is 220 credits. In DEC, it is 69.521 DEC. Also, I look at the price of this monster on the other market and it is all the same. I suggest to buy this card in CardAuctionz since there will be 2.16 DEC cashback.

• STRATEGY FOR THIS CARD

This card can never be placed in the first position. Its ability will not be maximize if this monster is the tank. I suggest to position this monster in the middle of the line up. Also, when using this monster, use a monster with forcefield ability so that this monster will never be the target.

• CURRENT STATUS OF THE CARD

Base on the current market price of this card and its overall characteristics, we can say that this card is just in its proper state. The card has an average attack, but it has low speed and low life. Even though it has low life, its ability is too important to regain the life of other monsters, especially the most valuable monsters in the field.

Now, for the card that has a very strong potential, a lethal in the game, and a complete asset in the game, especially when it levels up is the LIVING LAVA

LIVING LAVA is a Rare Fire Monster with Shield ability. Monsters with this kind of ability reduces the melee and range attacks made by the opponent. This is a very great ability in decreasing the damage in the game. Also, this card has 3 melee attack, 1 speed, 2 shields, and 6 lives.

• MARKET PRICE OF THE CARD

Currently, the market price of this card is in $5.54. In credits, it is 5,534 credits and in DEC, it is 1,727.48 DEC. Also, in other markets being suggested in Splinterlands, the prices are the same but in CardAuctionz, there is 53.55 DEC cashback.

• STRATEGY FOR THIS CARD

Obviously, the best position for this card in the battle is the tank position. This monster can resist all the attacks, except the magic attacks. When I am using this card, I always use the summoner TARSA to increase its melee attack and its lives. Also, when the criteria for battle is high mana cap, I always partner this card with DISINTEGRATOR. The combination of this two monsters are killer because there is a possibility that the melee damage that the opponent can give will turn into zero. Actually, that happens on my Weekly Battle (Click here to view my blog about it) and it is so satisfying to see that your strategy works.

In the Level 5 version of this card, it will gain new ability called Rust. This ability reduces the armor of the monsters by 2. Its shield at this Level will become 3 and that will be harder for the opponent to kill this monster.

In Level 8, its maximum level, it will gain another ability, which is Thorns. Everytime the monster attacks monster with Thorn ability, there will be a deduction of 2 on its life. With that, its defensive state increases the offense of this monster. Also, on that level, it will have 4 melee attack. At this level, this monster will be a complete disaster for the opponent.

• CURRENT STATUS OF THE CARD

Base on the current price of this card and to its overall characterisitcs, we can say that this monster is just in its proper state. It has impressive abilities, high melee attack, and high life and shield but low speed. Also, this monster cannot protect itself from magic attacks. With that, we can see that this card has a balance strengths and weaknesses. And that is the reason why this card is only fitted for its current market prices

CONCLUSION

Overall, all the monsters featured for this week has its own strengths and weaknesses. I know that there are reasons for the low market price, but I hope that all cards should be appreciated farely. There are powerful cards in the market with low price and that is a good thing for beginners.
