Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Larissa Kerato Swept The MVP Again!

Time flies! Just completed the 207th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

This brawl actually took place on 11 May, but I haven't been able to do this post earlier because I was away earlier this month. So it's time to catch up! And now I am up to date!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 6th!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 10 guilds and got 431 Merits and around 12 SPS!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 6 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Sola Ranjell

A perfect 5-0 win to kickstart this win! With 2 Legendary Gladius cards, it's hard to go wrong here. My damage output was way more superior.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

This was an odd battle because it was the first time I was trying out Zebajin. Unfortunately it was pretty uneventful as my opponent was very weak here and we cruised to a perfect 2-0 win!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma

Another interesting low battle fight! 2 Gladius cards face off in this one, and Marisol Contuma came out tops despite having to deal with the Resurrection from the opposing summoner! Epic Gladius card made the difference here.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

This was a funny fight because it's very rare not to see Quora Towershead being taken down so easily. That's because the ruleset didn't allow healing! For a 4 mana card, Kulu Swimhunter did extremely well with 2 Ranged damage and I think mana-to-damage ratio, it deserved the MVP here.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

This brawl had so many interesting rulesets and battles. Once again, Back To Basics came into play and it was weird seeing my opponent field Quora Towershead again. For an Equaliser, the number of cards mattered and this time I had one more card which was enough to secure the win.

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

What was my opponent doing? Right off the bat I had two more cards on the board for this Equaliser fight and it's clear that I would win this easily. I had 3 cards with Life Leech but it didn't go down to that.

Battle 7 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma

Ouch. Everything just went wrong here. Marisol Contuma struggled badly against the opposing Captain Katie because all the armor had no use in handling the Magic damage. Oh well, we live to fight another day!

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! An impressive 87% win rate this time! Very happy with this result!
