Ahonex.com: A place to auction your Splinterlands cards.

Ahonex.com: A place to auction your Splinterlands cards.

I guess it was long overdue for me to check Ahonex.com and see how the site works and how it is useful for Splinterland's ecosystem. I remember that long ago we had OpenSea where we could buy the cards, and I guess it has option for the auction also, but I think it is not as convenient as Ahonex.com going to be. Good thing about this site is that you can choose the "Hive key Chain" to login to the site. It is nice that we can use the same safe way that we are using to login to the Hive and our beloved games of the Splinterlands.

Another good thing is that the auction currency is the DEC and DEC is also used in the game of the Splinterlands, so DEC gained/earned with Auction can be used in the Splinterlands game. If you are wondering if you want to bid on Auction on Ahonex.com then where you should have DEC ? I was wondering that DEC might be required in Hive-Engine but DEC is required in the game platform itself. Though I had not listed any card and put my bid on any of the Auction yet but what I observed that that process look fairly simple.

If you want to take part in Auction, then you can click "Browse Auctions" and you will see all the cards that are available for the auctions. You can see all the filters in the left hand side in your screen (Please refer to the first image of the post.) Once you can browse the cards (Actually it is not only for the cards , you can trade for Totems, plots and even titles also).
Once you can find the desired cards or items that you really want to bid for, then just click on the item or the card.

At the bottom. you will see the bid history. Parallel with item , you will be seeing "Current Price" that actually refers to the highest bid that is received for the card/item. "Reserve price" refers to the minimum price that need to pay to buy that specific card. So even if auction end and you win the auction, you will not get card or item if your winning bid price is less then the reserve price.

Also Note that there is also "Buy Now Price", so if you pay the "Buy Now price" you will get the item /card and auction will be completed even though duration of auction is left.

We have discussed that how we can take part in the Auction, but what if we want to create an Auction for our cards and items? Just click the "List items" on top ribbon and use the search bar and combination of option to get the r it.desired item and "Create New Auction" for it.

You will also notice the "Ending soon" in little right of "List Items" and clicking on ending soon.

Listing Price.

Apart from the 5% fee fees on successfully auctioned item, it do have listing fees of 250 DEC. So listing fees of 250 DEC will deter the user to spam the site with low value cards and you will find the cards/items listed of the significant value. Since there is listing fees of 250 DEC, so I assume that people will put the item when they are serious and not just list for fun. Also duration of listing is from 1 hour (for a very quick auction) to the 7 days.(plenty of time for everyone to participate)

Previous Data.

I noticed that site do not show previous data of the cards/items auctioned. I think it will be good if they share this data as it will help the new users to understand what can they expect even before their listing and also give a buyer a idea that how much they need to shell out.

My 2 cents.

Overall I find site is very easy to use and meet its purpose. I do not require any specific instruction to navigate. So I can say it is user friendly and meets it purpose.

PS: I do not find the documentation of the site .so some of the words used are as per my understanding and based on standards used for an auction.
