Hey everyone, a cool new contest from the @spl-contests account @bunsbagsandcaps runs to pick and talk about weak cards in the game, and I have picked two so I could alter the cool thumbnail that was made for this contest. 😃
To find out how you can participate in the contest yourself, check out the original post here.
First pick: Chaos Rear Guard

Tell us why you think many players consider it weak or rarely used.
there's only ONE ruleset combination when I use this card I think, it's Little League / Super Sneak... why?
It's slow, so it will probably miss it's attack anyway and when it DOES hit, it only does 1 damage 😏.
Of course, doing damage it's not the purpose for this card, it's to soak up damage but with 4 mana there are better, cheaper options for that in most situations like the Halfling Refugee or Daigendark Surveyor.
Explain how you make the card useful.
Examples:
Specific rulesets where it shines
Team compositions that support it
Situations where it becomes surprisingly strong
So, the conclusion is, this card is definitely considered 'niche' but in certain situations it's still nice to have, but how many times the Super Sneak and Little League ruleset is combined?
Well, actually I just played an example of that but before I share the battle, there's another card I used in the same battle I want to talk about, because it's also pretty crap in my opinion...

Second Pick: Frigid Wolf

Tell us why you think many players consider it weak or rarely used.
With only one attack power and the slow speed it's not very usable but I guess the 1 mana makes this a filler card for when you have one or two mana left, it's like the kid that was always chosen last in gymnastic teams... 😅

This card needs some help to get effective, and I use it sometimes with Taye Loreswift as well as Elias Max Pruitt so it gets a total of three attack, that's not bad for a 1 mana card but still, the speed is shit so you either have to use speed management or use it in Reversed Speed ruleset battles.

I'm not sure why this card is Legendary and then to think I pulled EIGHT of these, as a Silver level player 😣 wtf... 😅 Well now at least my bot can use the in Survival Mode!
Include a battle link showing the card in action.
Bonus points if the card plays an important role in the win.

This battle started with a slight disadvantage against a max level Archon with two Gold level cards, so it could have been worse. To help my two kinda useless cards I used Taye Loreswift to give them one extra attack so they're a little less useless, but like said before.. the speed! or rather, the lack of it...

Even when using speed management, the Rear Guards second attack missed, but it's doing it's job as a Rear Guard, it keeps the rest of my team alive.

The battle ended with half of my team killed by my own Shock Trooper's debilitation damage, but it was a win!
For some reason, the battle rewards are super high yesterday and today. Usually I am only earning around 6 SPS on the very last days of the season in Gold 1.

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
