Hey everyone and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! At the time of making this post, it's Friday early morning second Christmas day and the family is still asleep so a perfect time to grind some Splinterlands battles for my daily lucky draw entries (just did that) and to make the first post for this week!

And this week choosing a topic was very easy, the Splinterlands team made sure of that! 😍

Waiting between battles and scrolling through X...

So when I'm grinding my Splinterlands battles, I'm usually reading posts on hive or scrolling through my feed on X, I like to engage with the rest of the Splinterlands Community and hopefully together we can make the game even more visible to people outside of our own bubble, waiting and scrolling I came across this post from @dejota playing for Santa, gifting Splinterlands gift boxes to community friends and members, so this looked like a little give away basically so why not enter, I thought! 🙂

It wasn't Dejota replying to me, but one of the Splinterlands team members @blazekos, the Lead Marketing Executive asking me casually if besides nozem, nozem01 is also my account...

Not expecting anything from this I really thought he was just curious I explained I own both accounts, one for Modern and one for my Wild cards...

So.. the next morning I was checking my messages on X on my phone to see this...

Wait... what!? You sent me something? That's cool!

So I hurried to my PC, I'm only playing Splinterlands on my PC because I am old and I don't like to play games on a small screen and I wasn't sure where these gifts would land in my account so it took me a couple of minutes to find out where to find them, and being 'just' a community member active on X almost daily but nowhere near the big boys either with account value or creating content on YouTube - I am only creating content with posts I still didn't expect something big, those big gifts are for the big boys...

So, when I checked the Winter Fest gift boxes, there is an entire row starting at $5 gift boxes on the left to $100 gift boxes all the way to the right, all owned was at '0' expecting something on the left of the row and not sure if I was looking at the right screen, plus I was just awake... 😅

On the very right side there was the $100 magnificent box, owned: 1 😮

HOLY SHIT!!! He gifted me the biggest box, there's so much in it!!!

I still needed to find out how to open the gift though, and IF they can be opened before Christmas! 😅 Do I need to WAIT??

Well, found it and it can actually be opened already so that's awesome, I don't want to wait!!! So instead of grinding more battles, I spent about an hour opening everything in it, making screenshots for this post and be amazed of everything in the box, but I was also left with a choice...

Do I choose 18 Standard Packs, 6 Alchemy or 3 Legendary!? I didn't want the Legendary and then I thought the guaranteed Gold Foil could also be a common card so I decided to go with the 18 Standard Packs!

That's a LOT! The 35 energy is nice for my bot to use too! When opening packs, of course we need potions to maximize the chance for Gold Foils so before opening I bought enough potions for all packs.

And there we go, opening one pack at a time because it's just fun to open them slowly 😃

I won't bother you all with ALL screenshots but I will show you the best packs, the first legendary was Taye Loreswift!

The very next pack had another legendary in it, Oridium Graybrow, it's one that I didn't have on my Modern account so that's awesome! A pretty nice pack with two rare's and an epic card on top of the legendary!

A couple of epics and even two Gold Foil rare's later, on my very last pack I pulled another legendary!

With the Glint I received, I bought two legendary reward draws to receive these two

It's a nice boost to my legendary reward cards because I only buy two draws every end of season.

So now I thought what to do with all these cards, of course Oridum went to my modern account, Taye Loreswift isn't very good at level 1, so I put it up for sale to buy more SPS with when it sells... one more legendary left, the Decrepit Windseer...

On my modern account I am still using Rebellion Archons, and I don't use the bloodlines a lot but my guild friend @artofkylin does and she really likes the green team with Kaylia, using an army of elves.
So because I received this all for free, I decided to pay it forward and send this legendary card to her as a Christmas present!

So... I now have 10k in credits left to spend, but on what since I can't buy SPS with it, after some consideration I decided I would surprise my guild mate @cherokee4life with a Christmas gift box, after all Christmas is about sharing!

Well, that was a lot of early Christmas fun for sure, again thank you @splinterlands I love this game and community for so many reasons!

But it didn't end here just yet, @cherokee4life had plans on his own and also sent ME the Ample Gift Box! 😍

More energy for the bot to use, which means a little bit more glint and SPS which is always nice! I wonder what the Vinnie and Mags tokens will end up being, probably cards to be made in the future!

7 Started Packs meant a lot more common and rare cards, in them was also a Kaylia! The NFG Guild owned account didn't have one just yet so it's a nice add on to the team, helping to fill frays until the guild system is overhauled and hopefully it gets easier somehow to get a completely active guild.

So, again - Thanks to Blaze and the Splinterlands Company for this amazing gift, they didn't have to do this but it was really awesome to be appreciated that much for being part of the community, thanks also to @cherokee4life for yet another cool gift and also just for being my Splinterlands buddy!

That's all for now, while making this post some time has passed and my kids are awake now, we're racing for Christmas presents on Mario Kart of the Nintendo Switch and my daughter just challenged me for some more racing 😈 let's go!
