Hello everyone and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog where today I will be making another Splinterlands Blog post for this weeks Social Media Challenge, participating in these challenges is an easy way to earn extra funds to buy Splinterlands assets with, and like always with this amazing game, it's just too much to have it all so even with this extra money, I never have enough! 😅
Last week, I bought two more plots of land in a region where I already owned two plots, with land 1.75 getting released next week I don't think plots will remain this cheap for long, but now I have to save up some DEC to get my new plots up and running, because it takes about $70 for each plot, so that'll take some time! 😏
On top of that, Conclave Arcana is coming - and I am not prepared for it at all, at this moment I have 88 DEC in my account 😅 I am not planning to participate in the pre-sale because I went in pretty big on a Silver Rebellion deck so I first want to see how I am doing in the new modern meta and see what I need instead of just randomly buy and open packs.
I also need to upgrade a building in our second guild what will cost about 10k in DEC so my members can start spending their earned merits to buy Gladiator packs with, so... enough plans!
This weeks Social Media Challenge is the same as last weeks, and like many times it's not like I only had one amazing thing happening in Praetoria but more like what topic I will select to talk about because there are always more than one, for example - the new Survival Mode is really awesome for the older players and they are going in HARD, a top player earned 47.000 SPS in one single day, that's about half of my total staked amount and at the moment it's worth $272 😵 that's what I call play2earn!
Needless to say the top players invested A LOT in to their accounts to be able to play at this level and keep playing there, because in Survival Mode when a card dies, it can't be used for a couple of days, this is not a mode for starting players for sure!
BUT, that's not the main topic for my post, it's just an amazing event happening now and while I will only be participating in this mode with low level cards handled by the bot, I think it's still very exciting and good for Splinterlands as a whole, my total card value has already increased by 20%! 😍

So, the cool thing about playing Splinterlands for me is the depth of strategy, the combination of rulesets together with the maximum amount of mana that is available and the available splinters to be chosen from makes it the combinations are almost endless, every battle is a stragegic puzzle on it's own. They say that making puzzles is good to keep your brain active and prevent diseases like Dementia, I'm sure playing Splinterlands is as well!
In a battle I fought this week I fought against @epic1985 on my Diamond account I discovered a really nice and very effective strategy for this specific ruleset combination, I meet this player a couple of times a week and I think I win against him or her as much as I lose so I had to try my best on this one!
Ooh we both went for the same summoner, Usut is a dangerous card, especially with Heal, I only own Usut on my other account, look like Epic1985 had 2 mana to spare and put Wily in the third position as a filler card.
The are reasons to put Arborist further to the front because of the Spell Reflect but my reasoning was to leave one card behind the Weaver, once it will get to the front it has scavenged a huge amount of HP hopefully, and this way I would still have a monster behind it also doing damage, line-up choices!
Round 1: Because of my double Demoralize, the melee damage is really nerfed and Thaddius is nerfing magic damage, I think my Weaver can heal enough to keep my front line intact long enough for Fyatt to halve the damage even more, my damage output is also low in the back so let's see how this goes, my biggest worry is Usut, he saved me more than once on my other account. Windeku is almost dead already after the first round, no damage on my side after healing, Arachne Weaver is really awesome!
Round 2: Well, the tank is down and the halving is spreading out nicely, Usut needs to be halved!
Round 3: The damage the other team is doing is just too low, and because of the Corrupted Healing, Harklaw's HP is only lowered by 1 every round, this can take a while and it's looking very good.
Round 4: Nice! the only worry I had was Usut, and now the halving landed on him, in the best scenario my Shadow Snitch needs to keep alive to stop Usut's healing once he gets to the front position...
Round 5: Cool, the entire enemy team is halved at this point 😄 I'm actually surprised at how well this works, my entire team is still alive!
Round 6: Could it be possible my complete team is going to survive?? I don't think so, Harklaw is getting very low on max HP now but still it's a very cool battle, for me anyways. 😇
Round 7: One more down, and the other one will follow very soon...
Round 8: Usut is awesome, but he can't perform miracles, it will be close whether Harklaw survives yes or no...
Round 9: Ooh! I forgot about Muirat's Giant Killer ability, doing double damage against Usut so he's killed already this turn, leaving my ENTIRE team alive, pretty damn awesome!
Giant Killer together with Deathblow are those abilities that are often overlooked but can be very nice and unexpected.
My 50k SPS rental had just expired so I was 'only' earning 5 SPS for this win, and a nice 500+ glint reward as well, at this moment I have passed the 200k total glint for this season, it is the second time I'm able to do this thanks to the extra SPS I am renting.
You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
So, this is it for today's blog post, the Community Engagement Challenge for this week isn't available just yet, and I already drained my battle energy for both of my accounts AND submitted brawl battles for FIVE 😵 accounts, so I think I can now take a pause from Splinterlands! 😆
If you haven't made an account already, please consider using my referral link to sign up, I'll happily send the amount I get for your signup back to you in DEC or SPS to help you start.
Also, when you require any help to get you started, let me know, I'm here to advice and guide new players and maybe I can help you with card delegations too!
Have a great day!

I think you can buy land way cheaper on peakmonsters.
https://peakmonsters.com/market/land
Or am I wrong?
I wasn't talking about the purchase price but the additional DEC required to activate the land such as the required DEC staking and workers to buy to work the land 🙂
Aaaah I understand. 😂
