Dreaming of Lux Vega

Hello Splinterfans!

One of the most desirable cards in the game for me has to be the awesome Lux Vega! This was a promo for those attending the Splinterfest in Las Vegas and is pretty exclusive and desirable to own I think.

There are only 922 of them and this is one thing that I really like about it, it is the exclusivity. I am always enjoying when I come up against an opponent with Lux Vega as it shows also they are a true fan of the game.

What I find great about this card is that it is a really useful and powerful summoner. At only 5 mana, it is pretty low mana cost compared to using one of the soulbound summoners and it has some pretty useful abilities.

The +1 armor and speed are like Kelya Frendul, but in addition, everyone gets some extra health which comes in handy. The best thing and most useful thing though is that it is a neuteral summoner and can be played in every splinter, so the possibilities to use it are much more indepth.

We have started to get summoners with two splinters or we still have the dragon summoners, but Lux Vega gives you all that plus some extra abilities. Possibly not so good for those low-mana battles, but I think for mid and high level mana battles, a very formidable summoner to have.

The graphics of the card are really good and fit in with the style of the Riftwatchers set which is a set that I really like and also one that has held its value pretty well as it hasn't been printed so much.

The rental of Lux Vega is not so cheap if you want to take her for a test drive. At 236 DEC ($0,23) per day for the regular foil or 898 DEC ($0,87) for the gold foil, you need to be sure of your strategy to incorporate her to get the most usage from her.

She comes maxed out, so is more targetting the higher leagues, diamond and upwards. With that in mind, I would imagine, for those new to the league, this could be a good investment to give you some all round ability to play many decks with just the 1 summoner.

Unlike the Runi which has its home on the ETH chain, we can keep Lux Vega happily on Hive and not worry about any staking and unstaking stress like we have with Runi. Even though I love Runi, that was not so great having it on ETH compared to Hive. Lux Vega doesn't have any of that and is even more scarce.

At the moment it is available for 360k DEC or 350$ and this seems like a pretty good bargain. Perhaps it could be a good target to acquire at this price. Currently it is still able to playable in modern which if it falls out of modern, it may lose some of its value, but that is still some time off yet.
