Hope you all be great, welcome to a new #SocialMediaChallenge on my Splinterlands blog in Hive Blockchain, in my previous post I opined on the new abilities that are coming to the game with this next Rebellion edition but that's just a little bit of the vast amount of material that is coming for #Splinterlands, so in this post today I want to continue expanding on this general theme.

Multi-element Summoners.

This was one of the points that caught my attention when I read the first post about Rebellion, as we recently had the first multi-element card of this game, Zyriel, and personally I loved how it worked. According to the Splinterlands team itself, it is this section that will make the Rebellion edition really shine. The Rebellion collection will include five rare summoners and a legendary dragon summoner in addition to another 6 legendary summoners in Airdrop (like the ones in Chaos Legion) But what is this about? Well, the idea is to introduce summoners that instead of 1 splinter + neutrals, can summon 2 splinter + neutrals. A simple definition but that brings much more with it.

In battles with very low mana or on the contrary, with very high mana, and with complicated rulesets, having more splinters to make more combinations will be a wonderful thing to create more and better strategies and that is what this new update is aiming at. Also, Summoner Tactics are coming, which is another amazing thing. Summoners with 2 advantages or disadvantages that you will be able to choose AFTER sending the equipment. What does this mean? Well, you will be able to use the same summoner to cover more area and if you combine well the equipment with this one, you will be able to prepare yourself against many more possible scenarios, giving a tactical amplitude to the game that in my opinion, will change the game a lot.

Here they showed us with this image how this new update is going to work, in it we can see how you are given the option to choose whether to add the Armor skill to your monsters or instead, remove 1 ranged attack to the enemies, then when you enter the battle and see the enemy team you can decide which of the two skills will work better in that battle for your team and use it. This is crazy!

Promo Cards.

It was also revealed that we will have not one, but two Promo cards that will come with this Rebellion edition for Splinterlands and you can already read that they are going to be extremely rare cards on the game. First of all they will be minted ONLY during the pre-sale of Rebellion packs (PREsale, not the general sale), and will not appear in the packs afterwards. For every ten packs you buy during the pre-sale you will get 1 BCX of Grimbardun Smith, the card on the left, with 4% chance of being gold and with the certainty of being gold for every 250 packs you buy, also, every pack you buy will give you 1% chance of getting 1 BCX of Mantaroth, so, by buying 100 packs you are guaranteed a copy of this card, with one gold copy guaranteed for every 2500 packs bought.

Analyzing this, we can conclude that these cards will be very rare in the game, each pack costs 5k DEC, so each copy of Grimbardun Smith will cost 50K DEC, 100K DEC for Mantaroth, approximately 45$ and 90$ respectively for each one, guaranteeing a golden copy, of course. While not an insane price by any stretch of the imagination, if it is known that most players will normally get a few copies of these cards, they are going to be very rare on the market, so that sounds good for future speculation.

Airdrop Conflicts.

This was another novelty that caught my attention when I read the introductory post of Rebellion, and is that now the airdrops of cards will be based on features beyond simply buying packs, but to keep them in the wallet and make a kind of bet (stake?) with them to participate for the airdrop cards, the complete information is in this post if you want to know well what it's all about.

This is intended to attract both new and old players on the game to keep their assets in possession and not just speculate with them, to get prizes for it, which seems to me a very positive bet for the future of the game, everything that inspires players to continue playing and growing within the game is good for the entire ecosystem.

Conclusions.

What is coming is going to be a total change for the entire Splinterlands ecosystem, there have been many economic changes lately looking to keep the game at the top but what Rebellion is doing seems to me to be something that goes much further, the gameplay will certainly change a lot, just for starters the Untamed edition will leave the Modern format and enter Wild, which in itself is already a huge change ... And to this we can add all the changes that will come, no doubt that all players will have to rethink our strategies to continue increasing our battle level, all these changes make me very happy.
