Hanv Vs Risqruel Drath: My analysis and comparison of both archons

Archons are a major part of Splinterlands battles. In fact they determine the outcome of your battle. Whether you win or whether you lose, it all starts from the kind of Archon you choose to go with.

When you get it right with your Archon, you've almost won the battle. Archons give specific advantages that are capable of deciding battles. Of course archons give you access to the elements and their monsters. This just shows how important archons are in battles and their outcomes.

I'll be comparing two powerful fire archons. These are archons that can easily win battles for you. Some people may prefer one over the other. The archons are Risqruel Drath and Hanv.

I'll start with Risqruel Drath. From the onset, it's obvious that Risqruel Drath is a formidable Archon. There are just so many buffs that it comes with. Let's start with the fact that it's both a fire icon and an earth account. What this means is that choosing this account gives you access to both fire units and earth units. That's incredibly massive. The good thing about this is that you get to choose a combination of the best units available to you from both elements.

In addition to that, this archon adds one extra ranged attack to ranged attack units of the same team. So if you have units that are ranged attack unit, they automatically benefit by getting their attack boosted by one.

Also, Risqruel Drath gives all friendly units the flying ability immediately the battle starts. This means that such units would have a 25% chance of dodging physical attacks and they would also be immune to earthquakes.

Here's the more interesting part about Risqruel Drath. It gives the true strike and impede abilities to two friendly units. With the true strike ability, the chosen units never miss an attack, and with the impede ability, the targets lose one speed.

What's also intriguing is that it can also give both the redemption and taunt ability to one friendly unit. This way you will have a unit that can draw so much attack to itself, causing a distraction through the taunt ability and can also do damage to enemy units when it goes out through the redemption ability.

Now let's take a look at Hanv. Hanv belongs to the undead bloodline. He gives two abilities to friendly units. One of them is Bloodline Dominion. This means units of the undead and goblin bloodline can be summoned from any elements to battle. The second is the deflect ability which means the unit would get no damage from abilities like thorns, corrosive ward and some others.

To add to that, he gives both the swiftness and the double strike ability to one friendly unit. With the swiftness ability given to one friendly unit, that friendly unit can increase the speed of the other allied units by one. The double strike ability allows the chosen unit to attack two times each turn.

Looking at both of them, it's really hard to pick, but I think I'll lean towards Hanv. The abilities he offers are just so great. Hanv also offers a lot in terms of speed, and speed is one of the things I prioritize in battle.

This doesn't take anything away from Risqruel Drath. He is an Archon that can make a massive difference just like Hanv. The fact that it's both a fire and earth archon give him a much bigger case. Like I said in the beginning, the Archon you choose plays a vital role in whether you will win a battle or not. Picking the right Archon is the first step to victory.
