Why I Am Holding Off On Card Purchases?

In the past few seasons I have struggled in advancing beyond bronze league in Foundation. This is mainly because I am simply not a great gamer. I knew from a very young age I was not good at gaming but I enjoy the experience and once in a while I do get out ahead. The experiences out weight my struggles therefore I am still sticking with gaming.

On the front of actually trying to improve I have pushed it aside as it became futile to even try. After Chaos the seasons just got longer and struggle to stay competitive was beyond what I can play with the resources I have. Hence since Foundation I have diverted into investing more towards Hive and Splinterlands tokens like DEC and SPS.

My win to loss percentage is lack luster at best. I barely get over 43% win rate in Foundation and this is only in bronze league. I know if I have higher level cards I would probably advance further but that is part of the gaming process. I have seen others advance with less than what I have hence I do not want to extend further investments into Splinterlands cards until I come to par with competitors that uses same amount of cards as me. In time I will add enough cards to likely advance toward silver rating. Yet until then I am building up my deck and skills.

I still play daily and have pulled out a minimum of 2 foundation cards a day. It adds up and feels good as I continue to progress. I believe until I can truly compete in Foundation will I have the confidence to invest in the new sets and play in modern.

My focus is to play within my means and still enjoy the process. I may not be winning life changing amount when it comes to investing in Splinterlands but I enjoy the game as a game. Not like it is an investment in hopes to change my life. But as creating experiences that I can remember for life.
