I have been scrutinizing ways to earn more on Splinterlands in hopes to accumulate more land plots. One way is the opportunity cost in renting out land assets to earn passive income. Now that we have land cards it probably won't be difficult to see those assets be able to rent on a common basis. Yet land plots have yet to be freely leased as much as cards. Why?
We can delegate and rent cards but not land plots. With less than 40% of all lands producing there is missed opportunities for more yield from the remaining land plots that are not active. It will also raise value for Keeps and Castles with more plots running.

We can have filter searches on every plot that exists yet we can not delegate plots for others to use. I currently have a lot of unused legacy cards that would benefit me if I had placed them on land. Yet prices per a plot would take me months to earn back yield at current day prices. In terms of crypto this is a very long time to earn back the investment.

If players can rent out cards there would be a new outlet for everyone to earn. The complexity to have land rentals in the beginning do not need to be high. In fact it can be a free market play where players decide how much they want to rent out the land for per a fix amount of time. That fix time should be longer than a season of game play since land has its own cool downs. A reasonable start is 30 days. With that players can earn passive income for owning land while others like myself who has cards that I wish to use on land can then be able to do so. A win win situation.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I have plenty of other cards for rent! Just go on peakmonsters and check out the market place and if you are curious what I offer here is a link:

I remember people talking about placing cards on plots, but land rentals seems like a decent idea too. It would make things easier for people if they decide the price, but I am guessing its just a more extended version of the current system because it would remove all cards and stake when you get your rental cancelled.
Prices have definitely come down, but people are still very interested in this game and are working hard.
