As I finished Frontier and Modern daily wins I was scrolling around for latest Splinterlands news and read about the updates over on Survival format.
After reading the post I thought it was tempting to try Survival in hopes of earning the decent amount of Glint. However after reviewing the brackets I decided to hold off and simply play Novice 1 to get my feet wet.

Having only level one of any card to use it made sense to start there as I have plenty of cards to play through. In Novice I was surprise to see not many participants, as of current only 34. The season is still young so it could continue to go up in numbers.
To my surprise competitors in the match often only had Frontier cards to battle with therefore I had the upper hand with matches where mana exceed 50. Then there is the minimum requirement of battling 100 before getting rank.

However reviewing last season leaderboard in the Novice I it was not surprising to see players with plenty of cards be stacked in the top positions. I am likely playing lower level players because the real competitors have yet to join in on the matches. It could be that they are in higher tiers and only decide to go lower if they become limited in amount of cards to use.

I end the night losing some of my best magic cards but still escape with a win. I end the night winning 80% of my battles but do not want to risk losing more cards from play at least for today.
Thanks for reading this post!
I avoid Survival, but I hope you have some good luck.
