My 2026 SPS Goals

In recent posts I talked about my goals set for 2026 but here I would like to really focus on SPS goals. For 2025 I was hoping to stake 250k SPS but I end up short by nearly 100k. In early 2025 I had swapped some SPS for DEC in hopes of gaining more DEC via spltrader.com's pool. I in turn swapped into Hive and grew my Hive power in later half of 2025.

Speaking of Spltrader.com they have a new platform for buy and sell of Splinterlands assets with a free pro use up until January 2. You can still sign up for it and test run it for yourself. I have sold a few cards on the platform before and thought it worked well. Now I am going on it using pro features to see how it operates. Back to my SPS goals for upcoming year. I currently have a ranking just slightly above 1,000 for the most SPS held in both liquid and stake combined. To be transparent I have pretty much staked all my SPS. Although I am no where near top holders even in top 1,000 I would consider myself heavily invested in the game. I will continue to accumulate as much of SPS for 2026 and of course remain to have my eyes set at hitting 250k.

The yield for staked SPS is now down to as little as 7.78%. I would not be surprise this falls even further come end of 2026. This would mean less SPS for players to earn which likely will mean less SPS overall to distribute.

An additional passive income to earn with staked SPS is renting it out for DEC. The weekly rentals have remain very active since the start of Conclave and I hope it remains active in the future series. What I do miss is when the staked SPS rental began the prices where much higher than where it currently stands. This may become an interesting wait and see for if limit SPS supply comes to fruition then there could be increase demand on rentals of staked SPS.

Now alternatively I can gain a lot more rewards if I staked the 250k SPS if I play through rank battles. The SPS multiplier would help me earn more rewards which in turn would yield more resources. This can only really play out if I had competitive cards to play with so far a long shot as I am favoring more towards passive earnings.

To summarize my goal for 2026 is to hit a higher value of staked SPS and if it had to be a specific number it would be 250k. This will give me the all illusive Hive badge for hitting such a goal. It is more of a brag than anything else but since I played the game for this long and have invested so much time and energy I think it is a well set goal to have.
